I am sick of hearing all this bad stuff about Muslims. About British lads going out there and fighting. Lets stop this and post here all the positive things about Islam.

Thought it might prove interesting to put a few things out there and just see where it takes us. Like I said, random. Sugar's Copper Blue is one of the best pop albums ever recorded. Karate are one of my favourite bands and they should have been massive. As much as I love Radiohead, I still find Kid A unlistenable. Dave Gilmour's 2nd solo in Comfortably Numb (from Floyd's live Pulse album) is the greatest guitar solo ever. The Police's best song is The Bed's Too Big Without You. Shane MacGowan is a brilliant singer. Metallica would be a far better band without both Kirk and Lars.

Listened to this Guardian Podcast before : Guardian Focus Podcast: Examining the British far right | World news | guardian.co.uk In England the far right seem a bit of a joke, I can't ever see the BNP or EDL taking off seriously. But in the likes of France and the Netherlands, it looks like it is gathering more support. And unlike Nick Griffin, I get the impression a lot of people in, say, France see the likes of Marine Le Pen as a credible politician. So, what do you think of it then? Where is it going to end? Will we see another openly fascist country in Europe anytime soon?

A site search threw up neko's Gardening thread but that's way to serious for me and I cant even dream to match his professional skills but I do love my garden. Maybe there are others out there who feel the same way or are just putting their toe in the water..... Anyway, we've had a good day today and I've been out continuing my Spring clear up but its really noticeable how far behind things are compared even to last year. I'm planning to replant the bottom of our garden and bulk out some of the other borders that are looking a bit lost at the moment. My veggies were a washout last year but if the weather brightens up in the next week or two I may put some of …

Missing I hear you say? Its hardly a set of car keys falling behind the sofa now is it! Not looking good anyway. 239 on board. Hope they defy the odds and reappear. Somewhere. Somehow. Sometime. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/breaking-malaysian-airlines-boeing-777-plane-239-onboard-disappears-over-vietnamese-air-space-1439391 A Malaysia Airlines (MAS) plane flying from Kula Lumpur to Beijing has lost contact with air traffic control two hours into the flight, setting off fears the Boeing 777 carrying 239 people might have crashed over Vietnamese air space. I used to think Scotland would be making a mistake by leaving the UK but the more I think about it, the more it would make sense for Scots to vote for independence. The biggest plus point of independence would be to be free of the Tories - forever. Doesn't get better than that. There's a few more benefits of independence and some drawbacks I suppose but getting rid off Cameron's mob is worth a 'Yes' vote alone.

So going into 2014 we have 3 British 'World' Champions. First question to start off the new thread, by the end of 2014 how many do you think we will have? At the moment we have Ricky Burns WBO Lightweight Champion, Stuart Hall IBF Bantamweight Champion and Scott Quigg WBA regular Super bantamweight Champion (I don't count this but what the hell). I think we will have less world champions this time next year, possibly none. Our Domestic scene is looking brilliant right now in most divisions but our boys really do struggle to make that step up to world level. Happy New Year everybody!

It's getting silly now, isn't it. http://morningstaronline.co.uk/a-2ebc-Shameful-wealth-gap-grows-by-a-third#.Vnch6raLRp9 The richest 10% of households have over 900 times the wealth of the poorest 10%. http://uk.businessinsider.com/high-pay-centre-ftse-100-ceo-pay-versus-average-salary-2015-8 Chief Executives are paying themselves 183 times the salary of their average workers. (Not their lowest paid ones - their average earners.) In the last few years there's been a welter of research into the damaging effects of rampant inequality, yet you're still liable to be portrayed as some kind of dangerous subversive or Commie dinosaur if you suggest doing somethin…

Love this stuff. For anyone who's interested... relief map of Mars showing Olympus Mons volcano (top left) which is 16 miles high and 374 miles across. The lowest (blue) areas are also where some scientists believe oceans once existed, note the 'inlets' and apparent coastlines. Any more?

Once again being allowed to blatantly flex its political bias while we're told to pay for our licences or else it's a trip to the court, a fine and a criminal record.

Plenty of candidates and a difficult choice, but for me it's Paula Middlehurst from Sky, closely followed by Lisa Aziz and Katie Derham from ITV. (I'm talking British news readers here, otherwise that French girl Melissa Theuriau would win by a mile). If I were still a teenager, I'd be having wet dreams about Paula Middlehurst.

I've always 'known' that Jenny Frost from Atomic Kitten is a cunt, I've no reason to think it and haven't read any stories about her behaviour - but when I look at her I just think 'Aye she's fit, but I reckon she's a right cunt'. I also get the same vibe with Kim Marsh/Ryder/whatever and Hugh Grant for some reaosn too. He comes over all 'gosh' but I reckon he freaks out about daft shit, like if you were working in a shop and you didn't stock the kind of water he wants I reckon he'd start doleing out loads of abuse and calling you 'a stupid silly man'.
