Peak Poppydom. I could have sworn the World Wars were fought by more than just British soldiers.

The 'forgotten' army of 400,000 Muslim soldiers who fought for British freedom in World War I

Bloody facts, coming over here and spoiling our bigotry!

Doesn't even make any sense.

Which is why I thought it was an appropriate response to your post.

A normal person reading that story about a project jointly run by New Horizons in British Islam would have understood the specific need to restore the place in history of Muslim veterans. Other religions and nationalities may have their "forgotten" histories, which can easily be restored; but the history of Muslim service personnel is deliberately downplayed because racist cunts (in the media, in politics and all over social media) keep pushing their dangerous lies about the alleged incompatibility of Islam and "the West" - lies which get turned up to 11 at this time of year.

A normal, decent person's response to that article might have been along the lines of "I'm glad to see that someone is helping people to understand our history better. I hope there are similar efforts to promote knowledge of the role of other religions and nationalities."

That's what a normal, decent person might have said. But you didn't, because...

There's nothing decent about playing up the contribution made by one set of people for the political purpose of insulating a religion from criticism.

The number of Tories who fought in world wars for us was considerably more than 400,000. Does it make a difference to the way you think of Tories today? Of course not.

Stronts, man.  This is just obtuse and you know it.

Is there an issue of Twitter/Facebook people talking about Muslims and the poppy?  Do you think the article may have been addressing this "on top" issue?

I do like critical thinking, so good for recognising this in the article.  However, what Angry did was exactly what you did.

I don't pay attention to morons on Twitter of Facebook, so I don't know, nor do I particularly want to know. I can only judge an article on its inherent merits.
