He uses Murrow's sign off at the end of that comment - goodnight and good luck. His style is also very reminiscent of Murrow. That was incredibly powerful. McCain KO'd. Literally.

I'd love to have somebody like Olbermann over here.

I have to say though, as above, I think McCain has been led down this route by the Republican party, and I'm saddened that he's allowed that to happen because I thought he was a better person than that.

Nah, he's a cunt.

Watch McCain and the Republicans get bitchslapped.

Quality, goes a bit nuts at the end though, when McCain said he could 'catch Bin Laden' I don't think he was speaking literally, i.e he knew which cave he was in but was keeping iit secret.

I like the phrase 'sociological pornography' though.

Good old GOP tactics. First he invites Obama to attend as many town hall meetings, then he pulls out off one of the very few presidential debates to make Obama look like he's the one who doesn't care about Americans. I can't wait to see what their excuses will be when the Palin v Biden debate is approaching.

I don't think recent events will have much to do with it. McCain will be voted in because America loves an idiot. Not that I would tar all Americans with the same brush, but the ill-educated, gun-toting, fanatically religious population of the States is vast.

It will be a sad day for the planet and I really hope it isn't the case. Just can't shake the feeling that McCain will get the job.

That's pretty ill informed to be honest and quite a contradiction.

The Democrats' voting canvas is more densely populated than any time in recent memory. They've mobilised people really well in this election, 36 million of them voted in the primaries alone. Republicans are disenfranchised, demotivated and distanced from their party.

America loves an idiot. What an earth is that supposed to mean? Try thinking before you type, instead of attempting to sound informed about something you're clearly not

Its hardly suprising that this happened is it.

I think im right in suggesting one of the areas McCain trails is on the economy. In times of economic problems, the population will always tend to blame the incumbent party. Also, Obama has been hitting him hard recently on his track record with regards to deregulation, which he has argued for in the past. Many Americans see the lack of regulation as a key cause of this problem. All of this places McCain at a serious disadvantage, and with the Palin effect dieing, he had to come out strong and be seen to take a forward step in tackling all of this, and try to preempt Obama.

Unfortunately for him, it does not seem to have worked, and the idea a know nothing presidential candidate stopping the rot, has been shown to be laughable.

I know how to catch Obama too. As do the CIA. You just follow the money that the Saudi's send him to keep him from causing them any grief. Hardly rocket science.

Never going to happen though.

Good piece up there; passionate and direct.

Osama or Obama? Deliberate slip or an unfortunate one?

Hahaha. Ace. I've become a Republican without even knowing it.

I meant Osama.

Even though Obama will be taking money off them and they'll be paying into his campaign for the same reason; to alleviate future grief.

I thought you had some serious dirt there.

That'd be pretty impressive.

*Phone goes*

Obama: "Give me some fucking money or you'll be sorry"

Shiekh: "Okay we'll wire the money again, just cause trouble elsewhere, okay!"

*Puts phone down*

Obama: *Man, that was easy!*

*A couple of hours later*

Osama: "Tell the old man I want more hush money to kill the infidels"

Shiekh: "Oh no.......I've made a huge mistake"
