Just seems overly cautious.

Szobozlai said last week he was absolutely fine to play but he had to keep fighting the medical team who said he wasn't ready. Klopp even half joked about Szobozlai and Nunez celebrating wildly after the winning goal in the league cup final saying he would have to ask the medical team why those lads were being held back. This is a game we needed our strongest available options starting and now for some overly cautious reason, we don't.

Nunez looked like an olympic steeplechase gold medalist at wembley.

Ive joined the ranks of Creator and The Drowning Man.

It'll take a Herculean effort to get a win here, but thankfully, we have plenty of Herculean efforts in our locker.

It would be lovely to play these with a full strength team though. Every year we have key players missing.

Another 2 fucking injuries. Konate and Danns. I know he's only18, but he's a forward option. Fucking hell, how are we supposed to keep challenging for the league with us having to put out teams that are devoid of so many top top players. Fucking cursed we are

Danns is concussion i believe

Salah looked razor sharp when came on in midweek - surely he'd be sound to start here.

The medical guys seem to be picking our team for us now. It's annoying how overly cautious they are. And also it's irritating that Klopp bows to their advice every time. Just say no, Salah looks fine to you and start him in the biggest game of the season so far.

Would’ve been happier with a stronger lineup. With Salah starting and Gomez playing central and having one of our actual designated left backs playing left back.

But, Klopp knows who’s fit and how many minutes they’re capable of.

Plus, with Arsenal yet to play City, a draw wouldn’t necessarily be a decisive result in the title race. And, you have to wonder if Klopp has asked himself if it’s worth the risk of playing Salah for one game and risking him pulling up and then missing a handful of games in the run in?

Plus, on Quansah and Elliott, have they really let us down up until now? I’d say no. So, I’d say keep the faith that they won’t do so today either.

It is what it is. It looks like a game that’s come just a bit too soon for us re: our injury crisis.

But, just get out there and give it a go. Make it loud and difficult for them and anything can happen.

When Quansah pockets that big ugly fucking prick they have upfornt and Salah comes on and scores the winner, we'll all be made up....

Until then.....

My only qualms about Quansah are his pace and build. Great on the ball but lacks a yard in pace while not quite filled out yet. Here's hoping though.

Agreed it seems a bit imbalanced. Player welfare and stopping recurring injuries is very important but we are in the shit here.
