Disclaimer: We should not have to be fundraising for such vital services and apologies to those I have been sharing this with for the past few weeks.

However, tonight my niece, Millie, will be appearing in the BBC’s Children in Need Rickshaw Challenge programme on BBC1. As you will hear, she and the other 4 young people who took part have benefited from the support of organisations funded by money raised by the Children in Need appeal.

We are so proud of her and if I can help raise a little extra for their efforts that would be amazing.
Thanks x

It's always nice to see people going out of their way and doing things to help others.

Good for her.

They were all absolute stars!

It was also nice to hear about the work of Claire House, the children’s hospice so many on here have spoken about in the past

They do fantastic work there. There's another one called Derian House in Chorley.

My sisters young sister in law was in there. Amazing work by amazing people who  have their hearts broken on a regular basis.

I couldn't do what they do. Bless them.

I watched this last night and thought all five of them were so inspirational - a very moving programme that prompted me to make a donation during the show. Well done to your niece and the rest of them and agree with your comment above about Matt Baker - he was brilliant with all of them, making sure they each took in the credit from their own communities.

‘Uncle Cliff’, my husband, who was invited to ride alongside them, was so impressed with how natural and encouraging he was with Millie. Can’t speak highly enough of him and the work he has put into this event over the years

No unfortunately. Had no idea about any of it till I read the thread. Will it be shown again on whatever Friday night the Children in need night is on?
