I have very little knowledge of the US legal system , what sentence would a guy who transported girls into the US to work in brothels be looking at ?

Elected service of some kind. Probably locally, or would need to start in the House of Representatives but certainly would be a rising GOP star for the Senate at some point.

Typical of the BBC, they fucked up by having Epstein's former lawyer Dershowitz as their go-to man for an interview directly after the announcement of the verdict last night. They gave no indication of his relationship or involvement with Epstein as context, not to mention his probable involvement in the activities at Epstein's property.

He may seek to hide behind his oft repeated defence of having 'kept his boxers on' at Epstein's place. That is an ambiguous statement, and probably deliberately so. He may have even came up with it before ever going there, feeling smug thinking he would be covered by a not untrue claim. He may well have kept his boxers on, but let's be clear, somebody in that situation does not need to take their boxers off to be balls deep in an underage girl, or to receive a blowjob. It proves nothing.

I don’t like Cressida Dick, but she wasn’t Met Chief in 1994 and there is nothing to suggest she was involved in or knew of the surveillance on Maxwell’s mews house. He seems to be trying to piggyback on the US verdict to gain followers, while presenting nothing other than they went to some of the same educational establishments.

Saying she was a chief inspector at that time

The prince nonce on every front page today.

The mail saying he is worried about the effect it will have on the monarchy.

Yeah I'm sure its that, that's keeping him awake at night

Surely if she was gonna blow people up,  she would have done it to get a plea bargain?

The fact she’s still alive would suggest she’s kept the biggest fish protected.

Sources reveal that the Mail, Express and Piers Morgan are scrabbling around looking for non-stories about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to deflect attention away from the noncey* lizard.

*allegedly

Apparently the lawyers in the civil case are fishing for anybody who worked at Pizza express in Woking to come forward. Free 2 week holiday in New York if you testify he never went there on the day he claimed.

It's a fascinating clash of cultures this. It's sort of like when the FBI suddenly took an interest in Fifa and everyone over this way suddenly had to 'look busy'.

Andrew threw that shite out about Pizza Express and not sweating because he lived in a country where he could pretty much get away with and say whatever he wanted, but now he's actually being asked to back up what he says the sparks are flying out of his ears.

It's like what I said in the Boris Johnson thered, it's symbolic of a wider issue - the idea that you're held in such utter contempt, that they neither expect you to notice nor care about their wrongdoing.

Jan Moir in today's Dailly Mail, apparently (caption, below). Ian Maxwell's interview on Sky News earlier was pretty dodgy too. He disputed the evidence of the victims but said he didn't want to call them liars, but thinks that memory can be effected over time and questioned if the victims accounts changed once the Epstein Victims' Compensation Program started paying out money.
