Probably for best anyway, sadly - we haven't got the squad depth to put a fight in what is gonna be a very tough top 4 fight let alone try and stay with the oil cheats and go deep in this.

Actually played very well there for large parts of the game. Away against the Qatari de-facto City on steroids; controlled large swathes but just couldn’t break that defense. Looked more likely when Keita ran with the ball, but long balls into the box were just folly. Veratti should have been off. We needed more creativity in the middle; we thought we were getting it last summer but hasn’t panned our yet ..

I've never had it but I expect catching norovirus is better than watching us away in the CL with that starting midfield.

Lost it in the first half with horrific defending and incompetent or corrupt refereeing, after that we simply didn't have any midfield or full back guile to break them down, no surprises there really with this squad.

 

On to Napoli, win by two or 1-0 apparently or it's into the Europa and we best try to win it too if that happens.   This club needs a trophy and the cups is the only real chance of that happening.

 

We desperately need the new boys integrated into that midfield but how the fuck do you do that when we've had our best start to the premier league season ever.

OK.  I'll say he makes fake Ronaldo look like Souness.  He has to be the single most pathetic excuse for a man in world football.  Every time I watch him play for more than five minutes I end up wanting to see someone punch his fucking lights out.  Absolute snivelling shithouse of a player.

A 1-0 win is enough against Napoli because Red Star scored tonight..  Only need win by 2 clear goals if we concede.

Lovren, Wijnaldum, Henderson have been brutally shit for most of their time at liverpool but the manager just cant resist not starting them when ever he has the chance.
