World Cup 2014

For England to go through, they need Italy to beat Costa Rica (quite likely), to beat Costa Rica themselves (quite likely) and hope Italy beat Uruguay (extremely unlikely).

I'd say you should be choosing your in-flight meals now, lads.

Tom you're from New Zealand mate, you won't get any of this England shit. From the fucking London gutter press to the loud fucking cockney cunts who never fail to embarrass you when you're abroad, to the spite of rival fans and the ott media coverage, they're a fucking nightmare and a lot of Liverpool fans simply cannot, be arsed.

Yep, there are definitely elements I don't get. But I get most of it.

Ever seen a haka on a tube in London at 11.30pm? Not many more embarrassing sights. Ever read the NZ press about the All Blacks? Fucking awful, Ever read/ heard the views of an AB fan going into a WC or even a test match? Arrogance beyond words.

I get all that. It's the lack of empathy with how our boys will be feeling right now that I don't get.

Bravery this and passion that, what a load of nonsense. This is the highest level of international football, even the weaker sides are well organised and solid and it takes a bit of nous and tactical ideas to pull a defence out and create some real opportunities. You cant out passion teams at this level, its way more clever than that.

Unfortunately i don't think England as a country gets that. They are too focussed on the last ditch slide tackle, the dribble that beats 4 players or the screamer from 25 yards.

Get a manager in place who has a gameplan not based in the 1980's and lstart putting a squad together of intelligent players who can follow up the idea and work as a team.

This man knew

And while the nation mourned, Carragher was consoled by the fact he "would rather miss for England than LFC."

"Did I care we'd gone out of the tournament? Of course I did. Passionately," writes Carragher in his forthcoming autobiography.

"Despite this, whenever I returned home from disappointing England experiences one unshakeable, overriding thought pushed itself to the forefront of my mind, no matter how much the rest of the nation mourned.

"'At least it wasn't Liverpool,' I'd repeat to myself, over and over.

"The text messages of consolation I received on the coach included one from Kenny Dalglish.

"'I would rather miss for England than LFC,' I wrote back.

"I confess: defeats wearing an England shirt never hurt me in the same way as losing with my club. I wasn't caring or indifferent, I simply didn't put England's fortunes at the top of my priority list.

"Losing felt like a disappointment rather than a calamity. I was never in love with playing for England in the first place.

Being a scouser in England gets you an unprecedented amount of shit, it's basically the acceptable face of prejudice, they can get fucked. You only have to look at the amount of shit Gerrard will get for proof it's all pearls before swine and they're not worth the effort. The shit we got towards the end of last season from rival clubs was directed more at the city IMO rather than the club. Cunts all.

ITN's headline 'Suarez takes a bite out of England's heart!' was pathetic too.

Fuck them.

They've just got the disappointment in a little bit earlier this tournament.

They'll get over it; they're big boys.

Man, fuck England and the hype ridden shitty cuntfest they rode in on.  Roy Hodgson is an utter disgrace of a man.  He's no leader.  If you dance with the devil and he bites your arse it's your own fucking fault (Perry Farrell, Reading '93.  Or was it '94?  Ah whatever.  It was his Porno for Pyros days.  Great show from Perry and the lads).

Gutted for England and our Liverpool lads, pleased with Suarez' performance.

There are some worries for us. Gerrard is no longer able to be the influence he once was, Johnsons' defensive indiscipline cost us a goal for the second game running. Sturridge, Sterling and Henderson will prosper and be better for the experience, invaluable for our forthcoming Euro campaign.

As an England fan the outcome is as depressing as it was predictable. Hodgson picked a squad and teams without obvious shortcomings, the players are not good enough to progress further, neither the tactical nous of foreign managers like Capello, nor the bulldog spirit of Roy and Neville have been unable to seriously impact upon that.

Team rammed with Liverpool players and the gloating continues annabaited. Very strange

And watch how those players (particularly Gerrard) will be blamed for what has happened. Jagielka and Hodgson have already tried to throw Gerrard under a bus. Fans around the country, and the sports press, will follow suit. Sturridge will become the man who was misfiring. Sterling will be accused of losing his head. Henderson will be portrayed as Mr Average. Meanwhile, dross like the central defensive partnership and Courageous Rooney will escape criticism.

I've seen Stevie hung out to dry by the cunts before. And John Barnes before him. That's why I have no truck with England.  Fuck them. Just get our boys back unscathed.

It wasn't him that cost England the first goal against Uruguay even though he wasn't tight on Cavani. And he certainly didn't cost England a goal against Italy because he was tracking his man to the near post and nobody else had covered that avenue for him. Had he left him and Marchisio scored himself from that cross, Johnson would have got a deserved bollocking for switching off.
