We really need to win this but this is a really tough game. At home Stoke are tough to beat and in the last five home games they have beat Sunderland,Villa and the Chavs and drew with Cardiff and the blueshite. We have won one and drew one of the last five away games we have played.

Assaidi looks like he's been doing well for them so it's a bonus they'll have to do without him.

It's a tough fixture, but our recent away points haven't reflected the performances at City and Chelsea. With the possibility of Butland in goal and Sturridge back I'm pretty confident.

0-1 Suarez with a Charlie Adam red card.

My gut feeling is that we'll win this one.

Aside from telling me I shouldn't have added that extra chilli to yesterday's stir-dry, my gut is telling me we're going to struggle.

If we have any intentions of challenging then this is a must win game especially with everyone around us winning, it shows that was can handle pressure and get results when we need to in tricky away games, and that in itself would be a massive boost for the side....and the fans.

Well in fairness we've had, including today's game, 4 very tough away games in a row. With all our home games to come against top sides and this little nasty away run, hopefully we'll be able to pull away, should we still be in top 4, or catch up any ground lost over Xmas/Jan.

I think if we press the ball like we have done recently & try to get forward we will win. If we sit back & try to hit them on the break we will have a tough game.

On a separate matter for any betting gurus out there, how come Stoke are unbeaten in their last 7 homes & we have the worst away record of the top 9, but Stoke are 11/2 to win today ?
