Wonder if Chelsea might go for Allegri. They like an Italian manager, and for some reason the next in line hasn't enough sense to steer well clear.

Everyone going for the same side. Who'll blink first?

Keeper won't want to catch it now Dier's handled it.

Surprised Spurs risked any senior players for this game. Without Son and Kane they're toothless.
  5. I find myself switching off whenever he's interviewed. Not out of a rabid dislike (I reckon he's alright as a person) but because I find myself feeling actually embarrassed for him, as the words fall out of his mouth. It's cringe inducing. A man promoted so far above his level that he's trapped, saying things to convince - perhaps himself - that he's a proper football manager. Like a YTS boy striding into work experience; wide eyes and squeaky voice, a small frame swallowed up by Uncle Fergie's ill-fitting jacket. He tries to act the part, but deep down knows in his attache case is only two rounds of egg sandwiches and an umbongo.

    Diogo Jota

Yeah, it's in my Spotify workout playlist. The Meireles video, however, is saved to my phone, just in case.

When humanity finally crumbles into nuclear ashes, and the apes take over, I want that video of Meireles to be all they find of our existence.

When Dyche gets really angry his voice gets crisp and clear, like a young Aled Jones.
  9. The number of clubs in this country is just unsustainable, in the long run. Whilst I agree, it would be great to see a drive for the richest to help the poorest, it needs to be structured at a societal level for all - major retailers, tech giants, hedge funds, MPs etc. Instead, the government - and by proxy, certain media outlets - is cherry picking the one industry where predominantly working class lads are the ones generating wealth, and also benefiting from it. Wealth that brings in billions to this economy, and workers who'll still pay hundreds of millions in tax. PL clubs themselves are rich, but it's mainly in value. Increases in income are swallowed by a similar inflation in expenditure. Seeing clubs claiming furlough didn't sit right with me, but if the government didn't want the greatest wealth creators to claim, they should have legislated for that. Instead, they built a supposedly fair system, then tried to guilt trip football into taking the hit.

The handball decisions this season have been truly ridiculous.

It's genuinely bizarre how their fans can't see it. It's like your mate turning up in the pub all puffed up, with Jo Guest on his arm, oblivious to the fact she now looks like Pat Butcher. He's nothing more than a name now, a player that once was great, and nothing more.

Luke Shaw is slowly morphing into Charlie Adam. Running twenty yards, then falling over when he's out of breath.

You need a bit of that.
  17. I think Krawietz goes when Klopp goes, or perhaps stays as assistant here if Klopp retires. Ljinders, on the other hand, clearly has ambitions of managing, and has already attempted to go it alone. He seems to have quickly filled the hole left by Buvac's departure, so is best positioned to make the step up.

    Tiffani Amber Thiessen was lovely.

    Nike deal

Nice. If the Napoli shirt I ordered is alright I might grab the same Milan and Fiorentina ones. There are some nice retro Boca Juniors ones too.

I didn't know his mum was a hockey player. Definitely runs in the family. All I inherited from my parents was flat feet and small ears.

Death, taxes, and City spending £100m on defenders.
  24. I wouldn't write off Pochettino doing well there. The right manager, with a decent budget, can do wonders. Their issue is much like the England national team, they appointed older - more tactical and defensive - managers. Sven and Capello were fine managers, but ill suited to the players and ethos they needed. Similar to Van Gaal and Mourinho at Utd. As with England, rather that getting an established manager, who favours intensity and pressing (like Bielsa), they've gone for a young gimp who is thoroughly untested purely based on a supposed "connection".

    Timo Werner

I still think he's mentally weak, and I refuse to budge from my poorly informed judgemental hot-take. Ooh, it's a bit loud, my ears went pop, sub me off.
