He’s a fantastic footballer. I don’t fully understand how we’re getting him at such a low price, if that’s true. I suppose that’s where the Klopp aura comes in if a few clubs meet the asking price.

At the time he signed the contract he was in the final 12 months of his deal, so the relatively low release fee was probably a good compromise for Brighton who could have lost him for nothing.

 Well if its true, as TD said above, he agreed to sign an extension with a low release fee, he will have done that to make sure he earns more.
