Wilder is an excellent coach. Pleased to see them doing well.

    Naby Keita

Was he this injury prone in Germany?

    Arsenal (H) 30/10 League Cup 20:30

Neco Williams has had an interesting night, overplayed it at times and got skinned by Saka too often but he looks pretty good going forward.

Don't think Gomez has been that bad, he'd look loads better alongside Van Dijk as well.

Second stonewall penalty inside a minute, glad the ref gave that one.

    Spurs (H) Premier League 27/10/19 - 16:30

I don't think Gazzaniga had an amazing game, i mean he obviously wasn't doing a Mignolet out there but all the saves he made are ones you'd expect the keeper to be making at this level. Our finishing wasn't as sharp as it could have been.

    Fabinho

This lad has made me forget the dark days of Henderson and Emre Can playing as the deepest midfielder for us.

    Spurs (H) Premier League 27/10/19 - 16:30

I'm not even dignifying this with a response.

If you offered me a point and a guarantee Lovren and Henderson never play for us again I'd probably take it right now.

Ox is always crap out wide.

    Knew that would get overturned.

Half four is a cunt of a kick off time.

    Man Utd (A) 20/10/19 - Premier League

We are much better than them but given our recent record there I would snatch your hand off for a scrappy one-nil or two-one victory.

    Leicester (H) 5/10/19 - Premier League

Haven't deserved it today. Midfield had stopped working by the 65th minute, needed to get rid of Wijnaldum earlier, and Fabinho has been dead on his feet as well.
  16. He's a decent coach but i just can't stand the guy. Makes my skin crawl.

Salzburg (H) 2/10/19 - Champions of Europe League

Great goal but we shouldn't need to fucking concede three before we start playing football, for fuck's sake. So lax from us tonight.

Salzburg (H) 2/10/19 - Champions of Europe League

Not sure about this substitution, we need to get hold of the game in midfield, not just chuck on another attacker.

This is so bad from us.

    Other Football - 2019/20

It's all been a house of cards for Spurs for a long time now. Their run to the CL final is probably the high point, and it's got them this new stadium as a reward which is a massive improvement even if everything goes tits up this season. But the amount of things that have needed to go their way to get to this point beggars belief. They've somehow convinced players like Eriksen, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Son, etc to stick around for years, earning fractions of what they could get elsewhere. The plan was clearly to cash in on these lads while they still had some resale value, but that's backfired now. They gave some time to a young striker who'd been knocking round the reserves and underwhelming in his loans and reaped the benefits as he turned himself into a top ten player in the world in his position. I know people say you have to give young players chances, but Kane's development would be like us giving Jerome Sinclair chances under Rodgers and seeing him turn into 2008 Fernando Torres. No one predicted how well Kane would do. That saved them another fortune in wages + transfer fee. They got a a manager to replace Tactics Tim Sherwood who has turned out to be able to not only develop the very talented lads like Kane and Alli but who has managed to get decent form out of league one standard players like Eric Dier. Given Levy's past record with choosing managers there was no guarantee Pochettino was gonna be up to standard but he's succeeded hugely there. There's still question marks over his input in the transfer market and I think he relies a lot on refs in the Premier League being quite lenient with physical play, I wouldn't put him in the very top tier of managers, but he's night and day compared to the likes of Redknapp, Villas Boas or Sherwood. Any of these things go even slightly differently and we're talking about Spurs as an upper mid table team who may occasionally challenge for a top four place, not a perennial Champions League club who reached the final last year.

    The shitness of modern football

Have to admit I find the hi-vis balls easier to see when I'm watching us on blag internet streams from Russia. For that reason alone I'm a fan.
  22. McGinn looks excellent. Grealish gets the hype but he's so wasteful with the ball and wears unforgivably tight shorts. I'd take McGinn if Villa go down.
  23. If we can't have Leicester players I'm struggling to think of five. I still think Richarlison is quite an effective player though. He'd be decent backup for Origi.

MK Dons (A) Rumbelows Cup 25/9/19

I think Brewster has much more potential than Jones. Hoever looks the most likely to me though.
  25. Midfielders who have the ability to dribble, shoot and spot passes like Coutinho did when he was here are few and far between. Midfielders who can do all that, and also press, tackle and compete physically for 90 minutes like Henderson or Wijnaldum can basically don't exist. We already have a really good attacking midfielder / number 10 in the squad btw. He doesn't get a look in.
