I don't think it's easy to see where he fits in with us, but he definitely has qualities we lack and is a world class player in the making.

 

Also, we rotate a lot in midfield and with the 5 subs as well, it might not even be important what his role would be. He just has to play his game.

The obvious fit from what has come before him is Wijnaldum, especially against teams where we need athleticism and pressing.

In terms that both could be number 8's, yes, but it's not the same profile at all. Wijnaldum used to recycle the ball, offer an outlet with his press resistance and then he had the athleticism. We used his technique in sort of a muted way. 

 

Tchouameni is a different player. He's a destroyer with a hint of the ability to be a threat box to box. Not saying it wouldn't work, but it's not the same. It would be another evolution, or rather, it would give us another weapon to make us basically be able to do anything tactically. But what the idea is in terms of where to put him and with who in midfield, it's not clear. But again, this possibly does not even matter, as we'll rotate like crazy if we keep being in all these competitions late into every season.

Not so sure about Dybala, but I reckon if there is anyone who could turn Dembele into the player he originally looked like he could be it's Jurgen.
