Thiago Alcantara

Would we be switching to a 4231 formation then with him and fab behind a front 4? Well, it would certainly be more stable and solid at bigger away days as it'll mean that our full backs won't need to be as adventurous. More top class players is a good thing

Perhaps he's shaqs replacement? He was linked with Geordie Arabia a little while back. If we can get maybe 20m for him, plus lallana's wages off the payroll, the deal probably doesn't cost too much.

Had a little look on a Newcastle forum last week and they’re telling themselves they’re in for Coutinho. It’s great fun. Doesn’t bode well for Shaqiri moving there though.

What IS our weakest position? I guess it’s all about depth at this point; maybe left back?

Central midfield probably is our weakest position. We have world class players goal, CB, full back and attack, but not in midfield probably, even if a few of them aren’t far off.

If we’re talking about depth, of course it’s a different matter.

I think theres something in this. Usually Pearce is straight on it when its not happening.

Maybe Pearce has gone for a haircut and a pint. We are living in strange times after all.

The Firm.  Sounds reputable, it's on.

Journalists include Danny Dyer and Tamer Hassan. The editor is Craig Fairbrass.

He’s two months older than De Bruyne and everyone would love it if we signed him. He’s also played more games than him the last couple of seasons.

Highly doubt we’ll sign him but if we do just enjoy the fact we’ve got another world class footballer in. Seen people on Twitter moaning about his potential wages being high, why would you even be arsed about that? Rather money went on his wages than sat in a bank account.

People have to moan about something.
