I'm pretty sure he's played deeper for France, although he's only played on the left for Monaco. I'm only speculating that he would play in midfield here because if everyone is fit I don't think he's taking the place of Mané or Salah on the wings. We've been too good with those two out wide.

 

I could see him in a David Silva type central midfield role. He has those types of qualities.

Monaco are apparently interested in Origi, and he may get the deal over the line.  But he's been given permission to speak to Newcastle (who the Echo say want him on loan) and Spurs as well.

 

Fuck the others off and get him on a Cessna to Monaco. Even if we have to force him at gunpoint.

Monaco would already have Falcao, Jovetic, Keita Balde, Carrillo and Diakhaby to play upfront. Unless they rate Origi, I don't think they really need him, but Keita Balde could also play on the left, I guess.
