Started last summer looking forward to a season in the Championship with Hull. Fast forward and he's just walked off the pitch in the first leg of a CL quarter final with a 3-0 lead and a clean sheet. Makes me giggle every time I think about it. Fear not, Mad Dog, there's at least one of us who wants the left-back's shirt.

Mad Dog is a great nickname. Shared with General James Mattis. When General Mattis was asked ‘Sir, what keeps you up at night’ he replied, without hesitation, ‘nothing, I keep other people up at night’.

Until now, when the legs on Robbo haunt his dreams. Hours of being chased by Robbo, with Robbo getting ever closer. General Mattis is in a car. Robbo is on foot.

Great bit of scouting to pick this lad up so cheaply. I thought he looked a decent player when I saw him a couple of times for Hull last season, but he wouldn't have been on any list of left-backs I wanted us to sign.

Love the fact that when he wasn't in the team earlier in the season he went to Klopp and asked "what do I need to do to get in the team?" and then went away and worked on his game.

Brilliant, brilliant attitude. He's been the success story of our season along with Mo.

Quite easily the best left back in the league. What a rise.

See him before the game last night when the teams lined up. Completely psyched up for it. Ready to tear into it. The type of character we've been crying out for for years, a real throwback.

Reminds me of Joey Jones. But better.
