Andrew Robertson

Andrew Robertson as a left back would be a good signing.

Think Llorente could be a decent option as he's definitely leaving Swansea and knows where the back of the net is.

That's it really. This year is not like last year when Newcastle had a few good players but were just badly managed. The teams this year are genuinely crap.

I called it last year lads

I think he’s been great almost from day one. As had his crossing. The difference for me is that there are people (well, Salah mainly) willing to commit by making runs into the box to get on the end of them.

Nah man, he's been guilty of far too many lofted pointless crosses and rarely linking up with Mane.   Yesterday was the opposite, more of that please!

It's pointless whacking balls high into a crowded box of tall grocks.

It is, but I'm not sure he had anybody offering an alternative early on.  Mane has become more effective at linking up with him (and with offering support from a defensive perspective).  The improvement in Mane's awareness is one of the most pleasing things about this season as it has progressed.

It’s not just the cross from Robertson for that goal that makes it. It’s his relentless running. He starts it with a nice pass inside and creates his own space because he’s on his bike so quickly.

Robertson’s crossing was good from day one. I think it was palace in his first game where he was our best player. He had a couple of games where it wasn’t 100% which no players is ever going to be. Then he had a game where it was bad and Klopp made a comment about him leaving his crosses in Scotland.

He literally hasn’t had a bad game yet.

Agreed just need to sort the right back situation out of those two link up. Imagine Salah having help.

Just like there must always be a Stark at Winterfell, there must always be a Scot at Liverpool.

They are a good omen, when our club was first created we signed 13 Scots to fill the ranks, all 18 of our league titles were won with a Scot in the team, out of our 41 major trophies only 5 were won without a Scot.

Shankly, Dalglish, Souness, Hansen, the list goes on, We even had a successful spell with Gary Mac.

Our most recent trophy was won with a Scottish manager (and Charlie Adam), and since he was sacked we've won fuck all.

I feel big things coming with this chap on the field.

Repped for the Stark reference.

Love Andy and the other Scottish players that have played for us (except Charlie Adam).

Charlie Adam took a step back toward our good graces with that cruncher on Rooney in the snow. Poor Charlie was never of Liverpool standard, so I can’t despise him for that. It was an iffy time in our history, he moved up a level but couldn’t do it, and we let him go before too long. Still, fair play for the tackle on Rooney.

As for Mad Dog Robbo, he really looks the part. Could well be a fixture in the team for years to come. He’s an intelligent player and knows when to overlap and when to tuck in. His crossing is generally good, his pace is good, and his stamina is excellent.

Mad Dog also has excellent awareness. In the short time he's been here I've seen him win some vital back post headers against marauding opposition wingers, and he's also made some wonderful last ditch tackles and clearances, sweeping and covering right across the back 4.

Clearly our best full back imo.

One of the things I like about Robertson is his transfer fee. In days when even a bog average player can cost £30m, £40m or more he cost £8m which of course he has absolutely no interference on. Reminds me of the days when we raided the lower leagues and picked up the likes of Hunt Hughes Lindsay Clemence and Keegan amongst many others for very small fees or none at all in the case of Sir Roger.

Love his attitude. I have said it before but i genuinely think he loves wearing our shirt and would run though shit covered walls for the team. So refreshing to see.

If he ever scored at the Kop end i think he would spontaneously combust.
