The problem with Game of Thrones is that all the characters are unlikable but unlike The Sopranos it isn't laced with humour. It works in book form because you get deep into backstories and motivations but the TV show in later seasons feels like a parody of itself.

Yep, agree with that. The Hound and Bronn being my favourite 2.

It's a shame they'll never share any dialogue (Unless I am unaware).

The Hound and Tommens scenes are brilliant and very funny, there's your humour Hades (Although in small doses).

Don’t suppose anyone watched this either but The A word was back last night. The boy who plays Joe is brilliant and I love the use of the 80s indie pop

Bollocks, missed that. Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to catch up on the Iplayer and start watching that.

No humour in GoT?

Not at all what I said. Anyway, familiarity breeds contempt so a lot of the stuff that Game of Thrones is praised for (killing off characters, set piece battles) seems gimmicky to me as someone that read too many fantasy books as a kid.

I dunno, people who rule anything out on account of it's genre are always a bit silly to me.

What is the point of watching something that you know you are unlikely to enjoy? For example, I've watched enough courtroom dramas to know that I don't like them, and as such, would never watch another, regardless of how highly rated it was.
