Roy Hodgson, know your role and shut your mouth

Every time I travel past ' arguably the 2nd best childrens hospital in England ' I reminisce fondly about Roy's time at Liverpool

Worse, second most important childrens hospital.

Should have been finished for that remark alone.

At what point does Hodgson lose his job? I'm unclear, as the comments I read from Dyke seemed a bit open ended.

If England make it to the last four, he stays on. That part seemed clear.

But if England exit in the last eight, does he stay or go?

Is it up for grabs at that point?

I think I read Dyke will be leaving too, so the unfortunate aspect of that is it will embolden Hodgson to have a pop at him over the uncertainty.

Personally I think it's a good thing. Previous England managers have been expensive to shift when it all goes pear shaped. We don't need another one. Hodgson can count himself lucky he's taken them to this tournament after the last pathetic showing at the World Cup, when I though he should have been let go.

Dyke will never axe Hodgson, he talks about him the way Paul Young writes lyrics.

"Wherever Roy goes, people are drawn to him and want to talk football."

Yeah. They're probably members of an Asian betting syndicate who specialise in draws.
