I'll be voting Lib Dem.

Change is required but I don't want a Tory government.

People will say a Lib Dem vote is a Tory vote, but I hate that attitude.

It depends where you are as to whether it is true or not.

Lesser of 2 evils for me - has to be Labour. George Osborne should not even be allowed to balance his own chequebook, let alone look after the economy. Cameron is a PR man - not a real politician. Can't believe people would want us to be ruled by Etonians again - like the last 100 years never happened.

Hung parliament.

Lib Lab coalition after Brown agrees to PR in the next election, as a desperate measure to keep hold of power, after Clegg threatens to team up with Tories.

Vince as Chancellor Clegg as deputy PM. PR will ensure the Lib will be the dominant force in politics for the next decade.

I'm still not sure the Tories will get in despite what the poles say. People who are pissed off will shake their fist at labour when the polsters start coming, but when the shit hist the fan, and they're in that booth - I wonder how many will really want to buy what the Tories are selling? (what are the Tories selling anwyay?)

99% of all politicians are useless cunts and none of them actually give a shit about anybody but themselves.

I'll spoil my vote like I do every time, until somebody with even a modicum of common sense, who doesn't act like a child, and who actually represents me and what I believe is important, comes along.

A double-sided coin if ever there was one.

Really what difference does it make? They're all the fucking same. I'll be voting Tories this time, although I know for a fact they won't do things any different from Labour. But if we're going to get fucked, might as well be from a different party this time. Labour have had their fun, now they can fuck off.

No option for "none"?

That's the case for me I'm afraid. I am very dissatisfied with Labour, I'd rather cut my arm off than vote Tory and the Lib Dems are a Tory vote I'm afraid, they are, on a national level, that insignificant.

You're not voting on a national level, you're voting on a local level.

Why do people not understand the electoral system?

Also, 22% is not "insignificant", not when you're getting Labour governments elected on 35% of the vote.

Don't post shit then, and everyone's happy.

"A Lib Dem vote is a Tory vote", honestly :whatever:

What to do then in areas like Southport, where Labour is an irrelevance, and it's a straight fight between Lib Dem and Tory?

Surely UKIP or BNP would be more representative of your views?

How so? The only thing that appeals to me about UKIP is their policy of withdrawing from the EU. No2EU, a socialist party, also has the same policy, I won't be voting for them either.

And nothing appeals to me about the BNP either, despite your pathetic assertions to the contrary.

Besides, I'm not going to waste my vote on a party that won't be getting into power.

How many people will automatically vote Labour or Tory because they always have done or because they refuse to vote for the other party? I know plenty of people that do that (including my parents) and it always amazes me. They don't seem to want to get involved in the actual policies but just tick the box they always have done?

I also surprises me a bit when people don't bother voting. You'll never get someone you completely agree with so you basically have to look at all candidates and if you find them all off-putting, then you see which is the best of the least palatable decisions and go with that person. Someone is going to get voted in so you either become part of that or maybe you somewhat lose the right to complain.

About three-quarters, probably.

It amazes me, even on here you have some of the most (small c) conservative people I know proclaiming they'll never vote Tory, for example.

It's too much effort to actually think. I mean, you have people telling me that that Cameron and Clegg are cut from the same cloth. It's so superficial, just because they're both youngish, well-spoken white men in suits. Never mind that politically they are practically the polar opposites of each other.

How so?

Simply from reading the bile you post on here it is easy to tell that they would suit you more than the three mainstream party.

Pathetic? Hardly. You might want to go back and read what you've posted on issues. You're an extremist.

I do think the Libs deserve a chance to have a go. The other two are both morally bankrupt in my eyes.

I had as a small business man considered the Tories but as much as I think they may well look after my interests I cannot abide Osbourne. The chinless tosser.

If the Libs get a shout I hope then can actually do something to change UK pollitics

and not just make quotas for the number of lesbian disabled muslims I must employ.

I'm an extremist because I want us to have stricter control of immigration? Perhaps to you uber liberals that makes me an extremist. I have very little in common with the BNP and their supporters, I assure you.
