1. Ashes in Australia (wheels in motion to attend Ashes 2010)

2. Heavyweight/Middleweight boxing, Maddison Square Garden

3. Ryder Cup, any location

I managed to do the Lions tour of Australia in 2001. We lost, but was ace for so many reasons.

This thread has made me think, considering how much I love boxing it's a bit strange that I've never watched it live. Maybe I'll watch David Haye defend against John Ruiz, or possibly Froch in his next UK super six series fight (he's just announced the next one is in Denmark against Kessler). Or maybe I'll go to Denmark and watch that!

1. Stanley Cup Finals, Game 7

2. Olympic 800m final

3. Some sort of big wave surfing competition in Hawaii (Waimea?)

Honorable mention: Olympic rowing 8+ final (but there's not really a great way to watch rowing live); a sumo wrestling match; a bullfight with a world-class fighter.

I went to a World Series game in my home park (and we won), and it was the greatest night of my life. There's nothing as nice as baseball playoffs at night in October.

The Super Bowl would just be one long commercial.....seeing football live is one of the most boring and crowd-deadening things imaginable because they cram in so many TV ads.

Good shout. I live in Hawaii and the Eddie Aikau tournament at Waimea is incredible.
