I don’t like that Gomez decision at all.  You’ve got 2 left backs available already play one of them and replace with the other one at some point.  Gomez is one of the most versatile players we have.  He might deserve to start but the side needs him ready to slot in anywhere and every in the next week as cover.  People might joke about it but he could do a job in the forward positions if needed as well.

Three points and no new injuries from this and then regroup day by day and week by week is what we can hope for.

 

If we manage to win the league this season it will be a far bigger achievement than 19/20. It simply shouldn’t be possible with the injury problems we’ve had.

Robertson was always going to be rested and maybe a rusty Tsimikas with Quansah and no Alisson could be tricky. A million miles from ideal, though, all this.
