Mitoma woke up the second Trent left the field, interestingly. He was doing a good job on him. Gomez was appalling.

Not with the current set of referees. It was the death-by-a-thousand cuts Taylor today and wasn’t his fault we conceded 3 poor goals, but we got fuck all as usual (he couldn’t not give the penalty).

Talk about throwing away the game. We could easily have killed this off but failed to do so and at the end were lucky not to have gone 3-2 down. Overall, not the worst point we'll get this season but we threw that away, which is disappointing.

I think its safe to say top 4 will be the limit of our league ambitions this season.  Still lots wrong with the team & balance.  Defensively far too many individual errors

Got to use Endo especially away from home Macca is just not a 6 he is just doing a job Klopp has asked him to do

20 fouls to 12, having more possession and against a team that also is very aggressive in the press, ie lots and lots of players jostling for the ball in tight spaces. Their only card was literally as the clock hit 94 fucking minutes. 

 

I think it makes the players a bit gun-shy after they've seen the way the game is being reffed. It can look lethargic, and maybe some of it was. But it's human nature when you've seen one of their players lean in then just fall down for an easy foul to start hesitating with further challenges.
