Listening to 606 right now, a few thoughts.

1. Robbie Savage is a deluded twat.

2. How were we the second best team in the first half (barring a 10 minute spell)?

3. There's some truly deluded Mancs out there.

4. Loved all the bitter Manc tears flowing.

This narrative that they ‘shaded’ the first half (5Live this morning  & elsewhere) is bizarre. Is that why they spent the first half hour time wasting and shithousing to break our rhythm? Even the big chance that St Marcus fluffed wouldn’t have happened if that spineless ref had given the blatant foul on Mo seconds earlier.

To answer question 2, they probably only watched and based their opinion on the Motd 2 highlights.

Disgraceful editing that.

It's forgotten now, wiped away by all the other incidents, but in the first half Neville was claiming that because Van Dyke ushered an attacker away from goal rather than outsprinting them at the start of the move, it was evidence that he's lost pace and is no longer the player he was.

He's evolved his game over time, as all the greats have to.  He's no longer got the Mary Poppins moves, but he's developed a quiet dignity for Diagnosis Murder.

Quite. Goldbridge is probably the most well known after Arsenal Fan TV and probably makes a decent wage from it.

These other clueless clowns though, fucking hell, check out this first guy, a pure grade A dickhead, a fully grown adult with his 'Poonez' and 'Cakpo' shouts, actually calling Darwin a waste of money whilst then have the massive turd Antony playing 90 minutes.

I know we have loads of out of towers but all these cunts are just bellends who couldn't point Manchester out on a map never mind have set foot in the place. They seem to have tons of southern middle class knobheads or wannabee gangsters like Troopz who should be supporting a fucking London club.

Love the way loads of them go on about scouse bastards just to try to fit in. Absolute cunts. That cunt with the ponytail would get his head kicked in by a 15 year old.

That girl is the worst she just repeats the same sentence 10 times. "Wot r we doin" x10.

It's the same for all clubs including ours these online meffs who become the faces for fans, there's good ones too, like Goldbridge he's generally okay he has some semblance of being sane, he's a fan of his club without it just becoming an angry hatefest completely blinded by some rage that probably has fuck all to do with football. You can wear your heart on your sleeve without losing all sense of being a decent human being.

The dick that calls Nunez "Poonez"is a complete knob but I don't think he even supports the mancs.  it's just an act for views and to get banter.   If he was like this in a pub he'd be punched out, possibly by one of his own fans.
As for that Alice Abrahams (def a danger fuck) calling Darwin for his hair cut has she seen that Antony cunt?

Madrid could have scored 10 at anfield if they wanted but didn't because they are a proper elite club. klopp just wanted to humiliate ETH. The best way to respond should be by winning another trophy. This is what makes klopp and pep burn from inside.

That'll be the Klopp & Pep that have shared the League between them over the last 5 years?
Like I said when I was listening to 606, lot of deluded manc cunts out there.

Generous to say we've shared the league between us. We have taken a slice out of the cheats cake.

Some of Neville's punditry is very good on occasion.

In terms of his tweets, he was absolutely silent on what happened football fans in Paris in May, which speaks volumes about him. He'll comment on injustices if it fits in with his brand.

He wasn’t silent about the result, he was ‘ fucking ecstatic’ his words not mine.

Was just looking at Gakpo's second goal again. He's got some acceleration on him when he gets going.

Just watching the game again now whilst working.  Great finish from a tight angle he ate up the ground to get in position for the goal.

Ten Haag is an arrogant fucker he won't feel humiliated he will just make the players run in training let the united fans know and they'll be over the moon.

He's got absolutely no charisma or anything that would make you run through a brick wall for him. I can't imagine him to have much motivational or man management skills.

It's absolutely vital for him that he continues to get results. I'll give him credit for the way he handled the Ronaldo/Maguire situations (even though they were obvious decisions that Solskjaer/Rangnick should have already dealt with), but a few less Rashford goals and de Gea saves here and there, and he'd be in the middle of a shitstorm. Those two have been absolute game-winners since the world cup break. They are undoubtedly looking more solid defensively with Casemiro in there, but since Eriksen got injured their ball retention has reverted to norm - aka hysterically bad. Their reputation alone makes teams doubt themselves, helped by the false media frenzy whenever they're doing something competent. If you get at them though, they're really, really vulnerable. Some incredible luck, generally lenient refereeing towards their players (especially Casemiro, Martinez, Fernandes and Rashford) and facing a lot of teams out of form has helped them reach the faux revival they're on.

There's been multiple times this last few weeks (think Chris alluded to it under the previous pod too) where they've just been incredibly fortunate to not go down 2-3 goals, and somehow ease to 2-0 victories thanks to (mainly) Rashford, de Gea and the incompetence of the opposing attackers. That game v Arsenal they should have lost almost as heavily as yesterday (but somehow nearly managed a draw!), and Barca away they were outclassed as well. Newcastle ran them completely ragged 1st half too.

Anyway, small margins in football. My main point is he's not got THAT good a CV that when the results turn, the complaints won't come, both from players and supporters. Say we finish above them, and they limp to a couple of cup semi/final defeats, and the heat will rapidly turn up over the summer. Both Mourinho (and Dalglish unfortunately) learnt that domestic cups don't really alter the perception of your strength that much in your favour, the league and CL are the real measurements for success.

4th place, LC and out of the other two comps in the semi's? I think most Manc supporters would be underwhelmed by that. Here's hoping!

Breaking: 9 out of 10 Manchester United fans didn’t show up for work today

Research has found that 9 out of 10 Manchester United fans did not show up for work today and are probably in hiding.

United were hammered 7-0 yesterday by their most bitter rivals Liverpool and fans couldn’t bare to face the abuse that was going to greet them from Liverpool supporting work colleagues.

Most called in sick claiming to have everything from the flu to long covid while several others called in dead and said they won’t be returning ever.

It was Liverpool’s biggest ever win over their rivals and United’s worst defeat in Premier League history. As well as the humiliating scoreline, some highly embarrassing stats came out of the game too for the visitors. For example, since he joined Liverpool, Mo Salah has now received more yellow cards against United for taking his shirt off in celebration than United have scored goals.

People are being encouraged to hug a Manchester United fan today if you see one, although you probably won’t see one.
