    Springsteen - The River

If he comes to Ireland next year I'm dragging my two sons, 14 and 21, along - both like music but are not Bruce fans. They need to see him play though, he's a one off live perfomer and it may be one of the last chances.

    Springsteen - The River

    Wow, he's still got it.

    Atletico Madrid 2 Liverpool 3 (Oct 19 2021)

One thing that is being missed from all the mainstream coverage - they are the Spanish champions - they are a really good team, have spent a fortune and we beat them. If it had been Real Madrid or Barcelona in their place we'd be lauded but it's all lucky Liverpool and plucky Athletico.

    Watford 0 Liverpool 5 (Oct 16 2021)

From The Guardian min by min on Saturday (Scott Murrary) "29 min: Matip strides out of defence, not so much avoiding a couple of Watford challenges as ignoring them. He’s a magnificent player. Previously under-rated, but everyone’s caught on these days."

I've been listening to loads of Tom Petty recently, on top of him being musically amazing his videos were so weird and wonderful.

What a line "No pasaran the pledge that made them fight" also Declan Sinnot is a musical genius.
  8. I loved this album, hadn't heard it in years until Spotify added it to a daily mix.

    Jimmy Greaves RIP

He coached at a soccer school I attended when I was 13 (1984). He was incredibly funny, kind and generous with his time. I was a kid and didn't appreciate it at all, typical. I said to someone on twitter the other day he played on my 5-a-side team and they said "you played with Jimmy Greaves?" and then it hit me.
  10. Yes, I love the casual Everton disdain. Nice debut by Terry too!

He's really talented - thanks for sharing and good luck to him.
  12. Gillian Welch is amazing - great version here.
  13. That's brilliant, thanks for sharing.
  14. Has there ever been a song that sounds as incredible unplugged and quiet as when it absolutely rocks. On one of his last tours when he played albums in their entirety, he played Born to Run (my favourite) in Limerick - when the opening bars of this played, wow.
  15. Great stuff as always. Agreed with the Keita discussion, I've never seen him play live but he always looks small and lightweight on television and seems to get bullied and pushed off the ball really easily.
  16. Tough choice Candi V Bruce but Thunder Road is my favourite song, one of the best versions below.
  17. Thanks! This is a great list.
  18. Really enjoyed it again guys, nice to have different opinions too - thanks!
  19. Applause here, it's no coincidince that the semi-final changed when he went off. One of my best mates coaches the Knockmore club and they beat O'Sheas Breaffy team last year, said they totally targetted him as a weakness, overrated and lazy.
  20. Glenn Campbell rep! I love Wichita Lineman too.
  21. Thunder Road - Bruce Springsteen If You See Her Say Hello - Bob Dylan Little Coloured Balloons - John Murry
