Trump now hinting that he will contest the result on Tuesday in the Supreme Court which of course is Republican controlled. Presumably something to do with the legitimacy of voter registrations or postal ballots. Going to be both ugly and scary if Biden wins the vote but it’s overturned by the Court.

And of course he'll have bill Barr in his corner. I think it's going to be a shit show over there for some time, unless he gets absolutely smashed on in person votes.

Looking at the results:

2000 - Gore by 0.5%

2004 - Bush by 2.4%

2008 - Obama by 7.2%

2012 - Obama by 3.8%

2016 - Clinton by 2.1%

So the polls have been wrong by between 3-4% at worst.

Times are fucked. I think Biden will win but nothing would surprise me these days.

The more they say its a clear Biden win the more lazy trump supporters/republicans will get off their arses to do something about it and maybe more lazy Democrats think fuck it they don't need my vote too win. I remember the isreali leader saying the Muslims are out in droves voting to give him the push he needed.

I dont think its in the bag for Biden. I've got to say I think Biden is wank. Nothing to vote for only something to vote against, its grim its shit choices once again unless your loaded and you always win.

I was reading something a couple of weeks ago that reckoned depending how people vote, biden could win the popular vote by 8% and still lose and that is not an extreme outcome. It had modelled the way they expected people to vote state for state he needs to win by more than 4% to have a chance to win and 6% it's probably still in the balance.

Is this a joke?

Not that it matters too much in political or ideological discussions but since Bernie mentions it... Her fans usually describe her as some working class gal from the Bronx, which would make her authentic, so I was surprised to read her actual bio on Wikipedia, she was only born in the Bronx, grew up in a white suburban neighbourhood, which was presumably middle class since her father was an architect, she went to university and later worked either for local government or some NGO, don't quite remember, before going to work on Sanders' campaign. After her father died the family couldn't get to his estate which was blocked for some reason, so she worked as a bartender for a while to help her mother, that are her working class credentials.
