Who though? And will 5 be enough seeing as we are sure to offload a few.

All those available match winners and savers who lots on this forum seemed to believe were on sale in January. What a team we might have had. Or what a team we're going to have.

We might get one or two kids as well, depending on how many we offload, but I expect five signings who will influence match day. At a guess:

Tah

Keita

Brandt

Lacazette

Sessegnon

That's probably £150M worth in this inflated market, and I expect we will get more than a third back through player sales. If we don't get these players in particular, I'm expecting players of that sort of calibre, and we should have multiple targets identified.

It's a tall order, and would definitely be out of step with recent windows, but I think Klopp has leverage and he's not here to mess about.

We spend money but it doesn't count because we sold shit player, we don't pay the wages yet in last year we had the third highest wage bill behind Man Utd and Chelsea.

It's all an enigma.

I'm calling bull shit on that wages comment. Everything I've seen has us 5th. Even Arsenal comfortably out spend us on wages and Wenger is a notorious skinflint.

We could deffo distribute our wages better though, sack off some wage thieves and bring in a couple of big earners with the quality to match instead of waiting for every player to earn there top earner status.

Either that or be Spurs.

Liverpool are stepping up their hunt for Udinese goalkeeper Alex Meret.

The 19-year-old – currently out on loan at Serie B promotion-chasers SPAL – is being monitored by a number of clubs.

Meret, who has been dubbed ‘the new Dino Zoff’ by some Italian papers, has impressed so much that his parent club are considering making him their first-choice next season.Liverpool have flip-flopped between long-serving Belgium international Simon Mignolet and last summer's signing Loris Karius during this season.

They are also linked with a move for England No1 Joe Hart , who is spending the season on loan in Italy at Torino after new Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola decided he did not fit his tactics, in time for the 2017-18 campaign.

We should throw a £40 mill + £1 bid in for that alexis Sanchez.

"That suggests Sánchez’s contract negotiations are not progressing smoothly: his present deal expires in June 2018 and he has been linked with a £25m move to Juventus at the end of the season." https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2017/mar/04/alexis-sanchez-arsenal-liverpool

Go for it!

Sometimes I really think our scouting system is based on Football Manager, he's always class on it. Every year without fail he becomes World Class.

In that case we need to sign Lucas Romero and Marcelo Meli, they'll sort our weak midfield out. Sign Lafont as a keeper and we're set.

Liverpool's wage bill 2015-16, confirmed today: £208m. That's bigger than Man City (£198m) and Arsenal (£195m). Smaller only than MUFC, CFC.

Yeah, it's definitely skimping out on wages that makes it so we miss out on transfer targets.

Apparently Michael Edwards spends half the transfer budget on FIFA packs throughout the season. That's why we've brought the head of EA in to negotiate a bit of discount

My mate has made millions selling coins online it's a crazy business, so you can't blame the club for getting discount.

Do you seriously believe them numbers

Thats from a year ago when we had a handful of players on over 100k a week. Since then we have fucked off the likes of Beteke,Ballotelli,Sakho off the wage bill while giving a few rises. Anyone thats thinks we are paying out more than City are is nuts. There is little doubt they are paying players in other ways. Just like the shit they pulled with their sister clubs paying them millions in football services fees to get round FFP
