I just have a feeling Markovic will start the season on the bench for us to find his feet, with Remy or Coutinho stationed on the left, depending how ready Can looks in preseason and whether Brendan feels we just need that bit more stature in the middle, per Jose's comments both about my team looking lightweight and the likelihood of us losing to Saints.

 

Opening games are a bit of a pig in a poke anyway with regards to the form of teams you'd normally expect to beat more times than not, but if ever a side will be motivated to come away with something and leave it all out on the pitch, it will be a team in their circumstances, with cut open Bernard Matthews turkey burger-faced sourist* Koeman bitterly priming them beforehand.

 

Coutinho was often a different player at home last season and in games like City was pressing and getting stuck in beautifully mind, so guess it will all come down to training that week, fitness and injuries aside.
