Daniel Sturridge: Loving Every Minute

That's probably the way Rodgers will go, I agree. There is a chance of course that he wants to stick with the diamond with Sterling at it's tip, meaning Lambert starts and Borini goes into the squad. The rationale would be that it worked pretty well against Spurs.

I agree though that the more likely scenario is that Rodgers will see it as an opportunity for Markovic to start, either on the left in a 433 or at the diamond tip if Sterling is pushed up as a second striker. Coutinho is another option for those roles of course.

Wouldn't be surprised if Cou is back into the starting XI. Had an excellent pre season, and even though he has had two average games, he's still a talent.

In the long run, lallana will be first choice. He was pretty much Rodgers main target and when he's fully fit, I expect him to be in the starting XI

I'd prefer to play Mario up top with Markovic and Sterling either side.  Sturridge hasn't been good the first 3 games of the season at all.

I think he has done some superb things, actually.

He scored in the first game, he created two from three again against Spurs. Sturridge has had a very good start to the season.

Yeah i agree Markovic LF Balotelli CF and Sterling RF, with Lallana and Henderson as the pressing midfielders and Gerrard deep. Back four the same if Skrtel's still out.
