There appear to be more carrots than chips.

I declare myself unnerved.

Carb cycling because of running training.

Was a low carb day - as a low mileage running day and a rest day Fri - but still hungry so pad it out with veg.

Saturday will be a big carb day with a steady build up all week ahead of next Sunday.

Ahh, the rattle of the tin bouncing around in a pan of boiling water before microwaves and my mum piercing the wrong side of the tin causing scalding jam to squirt out.

Those were the days.

Boss.

But let's have the right 1980's tins not those poncey modern ones.

Was highlight of our week having these with custard on a sunday!

Yep or Angel Delight.

My mum would prepare one, butterscotch for example and put it in tilted glass bowls to set, then do a strawberry one so you had a clear diagonal line of colour.

Dead posh us.

Been thinking of this all week so went to Launceston today and got a massive piece of brisket.

Roast tomorrow and I’ve a load of Guinness left over from when my ol fella was down so gonna do a beef and Guinness pie with the leftovers.

Left over brisket and Guinness pie, mustard mash and creamed cabbage with bacon.
