Are dogs dangerous or is it the environment they are raised in?  My best mates dad use to have massive Alsatian's and they were softer than ice cream in the midday sun.  I'm sure there are breeds that shouldn't be kept as pets but I always wonder how they are treated to cause behaviour like this.

My opinion? All dogs are dangerous, but some dogs are psychotic killing machines made even worse by their shithouse brain-dead owners.

I'd gladly see all bull terriers, mastiffs and yappy fucking Yorkshire Terriers banned and destroyed.

These little cunts too. I'd quite happily torture one of these to death, but Braverman's too much of a pussy to make it legal.

It looks a right cunt.

There's one just like it round the corner. I feel sorry for its owner as it's an obstinate little bastard and will sometimes just stop dead and refuse to move, then start legging it for no apparent reason. She's daft though, she runs with it, instead of bringing it to heel. Her son used to take it to the field where we let our dog- a large greyhound- off the lead for a run. I was secretly delighted that ours chased it, caught it within about 2 seconds and bowled it over like he had caught a rabbit. The son obviously hates it too- I called mine back, put it back on the lead and apologised to him, and he just shrugged.

It’s quite funny seeing people posting pictures of their own grock death dogs cuddling them etc with captions like “he’s like a big teddy bear, he wouldn’t hurt a fly.”

Pictures very similar to those below, which are of the dogs that fatally attacked that poor bloke in Stonnall, reportedly with such severity that most of his clothes were removed during the attack.

Sent a video before of two of those XL bullies mercilessly attacking their owner (according to the video) . People knocking fuck out of them with planks and they didn't even flinch.

I get the "it's not the dogs it's the owners" argument to an extent but when you breed an animal that big, that strong and capable of that sort of uninterruptible violence you need regulate it. I know I could walk down the street with a knife and not shiv anyone, but not everyone could. For me, it's the same with those sorts of breeds. How it could be regulated? I'll let someone else come up with that.

I've said before, my opinion is that unless someone is in an designated dog area they should be kept on the lead. Blanket rule from Yorkie to Babymauler breeds.

I got into a Twitter debate with some monster dog owners today & do you know what, they are exactly the same as the pro-gun morons in America.

Their right to own a child killing machine comes before the rights of any children (or grown adults in some recent cases).

The right for your average joe in the street to own these things should be fucked off into the sun.

I love dogs to bits, nearly all breeds.

But...I wouldn't even let a friend bring one of those to the house. They might as well be bringing over a pet crocodile as far as I'm concerned. Fuck knows what possesses people to own a dog, sometimes multiple ones, that could kill you no bother AND have agreession hard-wired into their brain.

Where I live, there is a plethora of the usual braindeads being brought for a walk by their mutant canines; lads that are 6 stone soaking wet, skunked off their head 24/7 and would sleep on the floor if work was in the bed.

When you see images like this its hard to tell what kind of thougts are going through there mind, they are after all, a basic animal, not highly intelligent, ,so you have to look on the outside to try and gauge the temprament, but that doesnt aleways tell you whats going on, on the inside.....So you can only judge on the tragic tattoos, especially the one on the hand, a cross(wtf?) blag Boss top and placing a small boy between two highly dangerous dogs - and tells me this animal is a dickhead dangerous and needs putting down immediatley.

Does banning a particular breed ever work, do certain types of people manage to get their hands on them anyway?

Bans aside, I don't understand why there's not a really simple law of every single dog, irrespective of age or size, has to wear a muzzle in public. I know that won't stop something happening in the home, or with a dog that's escaped, but it's a really easy starting point to help protect the public and other dogs.

It's when you see skinny, chavvy lads with these dogs - so emaciated they couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag. There's no way they can control these beasts.

We've got a dog and he's soft and as daft as a brush, and he's quite small, but he's still got a massive row of teeth and his jaw strength is absolutely like iron.

I don't understand anyone who invites a literal wolf into their house, regardless of its size. But I'm very much in the minority there, I know.

I wouldn't understand anyone inviting a literal wolf in their house, either.

Dogs, of course, are not wolves.  It takes 30,000 years of selective breeding to get from a wolf pack to Paris Hilton's handbag.

Yes, they're selectively bred, and they still share more than 99% of their DNA with wolves and can interbreed with them. They're modified wolves. You can't breed that out of them.

Is there some kind of second amendment for dogs we're unaware of? What right?

Mad fuckers.
