When you're in the midst of a bad run of some sort like ours with not beating one of the better sides this season, you need a bit of luck to get that monkey of your back - in more ways than one today with that cheating minge playing for them.

 

Great to see us get over the line to beat a top 3 side, bit of luck to get back into it or not. The media and naysayers have been very quick to ignore the scandalous decision denying us a massive win at the time against Everton, so as it's all about results that one could really be lift-off for us under Rodgers now that annoying stat is out the way.

Thought the performance was so and so team wise, to be honest, some great individual performances though. Downing put in some shift after we equalised, he deserves a lot of credit today, so does Luis obviously, amazing first goal, always a threat and won the penalty which won us the game.
