I'd like to add the caveat that if I see Ox starting in a front three this season then I'll go to Boston myself and start bashing heads together.

I'd probably start anybody else in the squad in a front three instead of Ox. Including Alisson.

I don’t like Ox in the front 3 either, but he does contribute. He chipped in with a few openers in 0-0 games in 19/20.

Ox is defo starting games in the front three. Who else is there?

It won't happen this side of Christmas but January and February with a stretched squad?

Elliot. Minamino. Origi.

I’m not thrilled at the prospect of Minamino or Origi playing but they are games we should have enough.

I know Elliot has only played a couple of games but IMO, the Chelsea game shows what level of trust Klopp has in him.

Luckily I didn’t say Ox and Minamino in a front 3. I said Firmino, Jota + another.

Why will we struggle for too 4 again? We got 3rd last season without  several of the players who have been so important to us now being back.

Just because we finished 3rd, that means it wasn't a struggle? Fuck off

I’ve never said it wasn’t a struggle.

We did it, mostly missing VVD, Matip, Gomez & Henderson. Thiago, Jota and Fabinho all spent time out.

To me, 5 (possibly 6) of those players are first choice. Do you not agree we are significantly stronger with them back?

What’s wrong with it?

The fact I’ve caveated I’m not thrilled at Minamino or Origi playing.

Do you not think think Klopp starting Elliot against the European Champions over several experienced internationals (specifically Thiago) and then chose to keep him on and substitute the club captain, is a tremendous show of faith?

That squad, is a direct, direct fucking result of FSG, a gang of american hedgefunder carpet baggers with a plan based on baseball sabermetrics that have longterm mixed results but short term headline upsides that woo fools. FSG is full of people who were born rich e.g got lucky in a casino but convinced themselves its due to some betting pattern they have hit upon and due to their genius see themselves as gods among men.

They dont understand football, are arrogant and ignorant to it and think theyre cleverer than the game itself and are hell bent on ripping open our stomach to get the golden eggs just to prove their acumen enough to get a good looking bird to fuck the ugly old cunts. Since another zero on the bank account is a drop in the ocean finance. They are here for the football thats for sure, well they arent here at all, bar mike gordon their man over here who probably i assume walks round like ll cool jay in toys or robin williams or kato jumping out on staff like a ninja asking if theyd have a problem with him doing just about anything he liked, i bet he doesnt have a face, justa note that says insert face here, the two faced faceless faceache. Someone bang him out and send him back knowing the us postal system it will be a month at least to get to boston getting bummed by goriilas and im from sveden and all that caper, since this is all about a one dollar bet if they can appoint a novice manager, switch those machines back on fuck him.

Finish 2nd buy balotelli to sell a few shirts to the american italian fans back home was mike gordons decision.

These are driven men waking up at 5am thinking of new ways to fleece us fans or squeeze more shit sponsorship deals out of our crest.

Their business acumen and wisdom has resulted in the above.

I’m disappointed. I said this very clearly on Tuesday, which the usual burks used to have a pop at me. We’re hardly in the position Rogers was left in having to play untested Suso and Sterling

It does give further opportunities to Elliot, however, I definitely wanted another attacker.

Spurs took a £175m BoE loan last summer. Their biggest signing, Romero, is also on loan with an option next summer.

Arsenal took a £120m loan.

You know this, you’ve been told before a few times.

John's been making it hard this year, hasn't he?

Why do we suddenly think Ox is going to be available for games when needed this season ?

I take your point, if he’s not then we have 3 others - although 2 of them certainly aren’t preferable.

FWIW, Zaha will be missing for Palace as well.

It's two league games isn't it? There's at least one FA Cup round in there, maybe two.

I agree with your general point, and it's partly why we should have signed someone. It's also why I didn't want Sarr because he'd be away too, which would be pointless. Plus I don't think he's good enough.

I dont disagree and hope it is as few as two league games. I wish it was none though considering the money the club, including the fans, even if indirectly pay him.

The front 3 without our Africans, will be Elliott Firmino Jota.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is on drugs.

Anyone who wants us to buy players for 2 games in January is on drugs.

Anyone who wants to join us for 2 games in January is on drugs.

Or shitter than Origi.

Or we can just add a 5th player for 3 slots, so over the 50-60 games we will play this season, they'll all get minutes and while afcon is on, we'll be better placed? I would have thought the lack of options January to march this year would be enough to let anyone think we need another option in our front 3.

Yes we can.

Problem is, we gave Origi a 5 year deal, Oxlade a 4 year deal after his knee injury, and we filled another slot with a lightweight who's totally unsuited to this league and more importantly, to our system.

Until at least one of those are shifted, we ain't adding...

It sounds like the cleverest club on the planet aren't very good at squad management.

No idea who called us "the cleverest", but since Houllier in 2001, we've never had a squad that gives us everything we need.

We've had absolute dross on the bench season after season for as long as I remember.
