A bit slow to get going but the story improved as the movie progressed. I wouldn't tell anyone to rush out and buy it but if it's on, it's worth a go.

The Grey- a reasonably promising first 45 minutes are undone when the film dramatically changes tone from action adventure to turgid, dreary melodrama. Neeson snarls and acts tough but can't save it from being pretty damn shite- 4/10.

Saw this at the movies when it first came out (in Austin, Texas). It was on telly a couple of weeks ago so recorded it and watched it again the other day.

It is still awesome genius from start to finish.

Honestly, Transformers 3 is the best film I've watched in the last 6 months I think.

 

I started watching The Boys from Brazil last night, but fell asleep because it was late. I'll get back to it tonight maybe. Never seen it before.

 

Oh, I watched a film called 'Passengers' the other night. I'll give it 8/10.

It's a couple of years old and has Anne Hathaway in the lead role. The things I'd do to Hathaway, proper horrible.

Very good film though, very good, well done them, that was a proper ending. ish.

Chronicle- not usually a fan of 'found footage' films but this was o.k. Bit slow at first but with a memorable climax- 7/10.

Take Shelter - Really loved everything about it. The story telling, the use of music, the pacing. Then you have the performances from Jessica Chastain and Michael Shannon to ratchet things up another notch. Quality stuff. 9/10

Finally got to see this.

I've been a fan of Nicolas Winding Refn since his early days with Pusher,(now a trilogy), Bleeder etc..

 

Absolutely beautiful in every sense of the word. And a killer soundtrack. Fucking loved it, can't wait to see it again.

Cool Hunter S Thompson story about a reporter (Johnny Depp), whom is actually a novelist, in Puerto Rico. The film is pretty 'cool' but the story isn't exactly amazing. I'd likely watch it again, as its a pretty good watch, as Johnny Depp is pretty boss in it.

I expected a 9/10 sorta film, and this one just left me confused. Some of the acting was pretty good, and everything, but it's just sooo damn hard to follow. They bounce around time-lines and everything gets mixed up and I spent half the time thinking, "Wait, where are they now? What's going on? Oh right!... wait... no that's not right."
