How can we help get back the Anfield atmosphere?

More about more local youngsters and making it at least more affordable to people actually from the city. It's not about where you're from but you should at least have a chance of watching your club from your city in the flesh. Lad next door to me a BS takes his kids regularly, obviously easier to get tickets but also more affordable. My lad goes mostly on mine or my Dad's ST and luckily can usually get tickets. My nephews struggle to ever go to a game. Finding a happy medium is what is required. As for the atmosphere, more people at the game who are actually arsed and not just there because they can say they go and take a few piccies for FaceBook.

Everton's atmosphere is also non-existent.   It's never going to be great in a all seated, boozefree stadium and that's the long and short of it really.

Season Ticket owners should be rounded up and forcibly ejected from the ground, and their seats taken by hordes of 16 year old North Face wearing scally lads who can then lay waste to the money-spending, long-time club-supporting day trippers. That's the message I'm getting from this topic.

Well I'm a long term season ticket holder. What is more important to the club ? Money obviously.

Be nice to give the opportunity to youngsters to go occasionally. My lad and his mates, cousins etc are not scallies they struggle to get tickets because of availability not cash. Others will struggle with both. I started off in the boys pen like many others, it wasn't ideal but at least you were there.

Not here to argue about where anyone is from but surely the identity of the club has to revolve around locals. A small section or cheaper parent child tickets for certain games would help a lot.

I watch the game from the comfort of my living room in Brazil and it's only been recently that I've jumped off my off couch in response to what I've seen - first Ibe's goal, and then Coutinho's last Sunday.

The absolute collapse of last season, the shite served up at the beginning of this one left a bad feeling, one of despair almost. I can't blame the fans at the games for not rollicking their way through 90' of some pretty dreadful, disheartening stuff.

It'll take time, I reckon, but things will get better.

I follow the game, via FlashScore.com, from the comfort of the toilet in my house. It's only recently that I've started jumping off the bog, I get such terrible cramp in my legs.

The absolute collapse from my hoop, the shite I serve up is rather satisfying.

I always take time to come on here and post "next person to post is a cunt" in the match thread.

Just to add if this hasn't been raised before now; while it wasn't halcyon days, the atmosphere in those games down the stretch 2 years ago was pretty damned good.

Winning, playing great football and scoring loads of goals seems to help
