Same here.  Was gutted at that when I read Legend first.  Was made up though when I later discovered The first chronicles of Druss and then Deathwalker.  If I had to place them in order of favourites I think I'd actually have the First Chronicles (the skeln chapter at the end was immense) just ahead of Legend and then Deathwalker.  All great books.
