Stick a fork in us, we're done. The pathetic limp towards the finish continues with another desperately disappointing display and more points thrown away, this time against a West Ham side that looked pretty disinterested for most of the game. TLW Editor Dave Usher is joined by Paul Natton and Stu Montagu for the latest group therapy session. The result was bad enough, the performance was worse and we also had to ensure the sight of Mummy and Daddy fighting as Klopp and Mo went at it on the touchline. Just grim. View full article

Thought I'd start a thread on this as a few of you have asked about it. Basically, anyone who has an active subscription should not be seeing any ads at all on the site (other than in house ones for t-shirts etc). Subscribers are ad free, so if you are seeing them it's because of the theme you have selected. Go to the bottom of the page and select TLW Subscribers theme. When that's selected you shouldn't be getting any ads showing. If your sub runs out you'll start seeing them and they won't automatically go when you renew, you'll need to scroll down and re-select the TLW Subscribers theme again. Any problems, either post in here or sen…

I don’t want to do this round up to be honest. Not after the derby. Would have been ok if there were no midweek games and I was just writing about the weekend, but midweek has proper put a massive downer on it all and made me want to just forget all about footy, as much as its humanly possible for someone who writes about it for a living anyway. You probably don't want to read about it either, which is fair enough. Watching these other games and writing about them isn’t going to be much fun so I wouldn’t be expecting the usual fun and nonsense this week, although I’ll try. I’ll start at Goodison where the Blues overcame Forest with considerable hel…

Work-rate. Incisiveness. Nous. I don't ask for much. This is how it's gonna be. Build from the ground up. After a much improved display and decent result at Fulham, we move onto the second of 4 away games in succession (the first being the trip to Bergamo) when we visit the 'Grand Old Lady'. Like a grand old lady, it's seen better days decades ago and now stinks of piss. Countless times this season, Everton have come up against an equally shit opponent, dragged them down to their level and beaten them through experience. They and Ashley Young got a massive helping hand against Forest, who were denied 3 penalties. Forest's cry-arsing sta…

So, what do we reckon? I’ll give it two years maximum. He’ll get the first couple of transfer windows free because they’ll want to look like they’re invested in the ‘project’ but the majority of them will still want instant results. Thankfully these days instant results for them would be sneaking into the top 4. What a time to be alive.

Lower leagues have begun and there’s less than an hour until the Charity Shield kicks off. Time for a new one.

No 'clever' wordplay now. This past month or so has been so incredibly deflating. A Saturday lunchtime game. Again. Yay. TNT Sports have had to make do with the unwanted time slot, and the problem would be solved if that rule about no live football on TV at 3:00pm on Saturdays was ditched. Whatever was the basis for that decision surely is of no relevance today, so sticking to it is like when Americans adhere steadfastly to elements of the US Constitution that were constructed for the conditions of the time but should have no bearing on society today. If they do, then that society has made no progress. The 12:30 time slot is for the benefit of the Far East TV …

Rumours have it that this is a done deal. Article from the Mirror detailing his playing style: With the arrival of the January transfer window, Brendan Rodgers will be looking to build on the strong start to the season with a signing or two at Liverpool. And one name he is continually linked with is Basel youngster Mohamed Salah. But is he any good? Would he fit into to Rodgers' system at Liverpool? Here’s Ross Dunbar with everything you need to know about the 21-year-old: Salah has been on the radar of some English and German clubs for well over a year. In fact, the option was on the table for the Egypt international to leave Switzerland over the summe…

Ryan Gravenberch - Welcome to Liverpool 1 2 3

Former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has claimed that Bayern Munich ’s Ryan Gravenberch is on the brink of signing for Jurgen Klopp's side. Klopp is keen to add to his midfield options next season; having endured a miserable campaign this year. The Merseysiders have struggled for a first-team partnership this season with Fabinho and Jordan Henderson struggling for form this term, while Thiago Alcantara's fitness remains questionable. A number of options could also be set to leave sooner rather than later with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and James Milner all out of contract come the end of the season. Indeed, the Reds could be set for majo…

It seems like we’re ready to rip up the last few years and start again with Trent moving inside like he has towards the end of the season. There’s always been talk of him moving into MF one day but he’s only been playing this hybrid stuff because he’s deteriorated in his role at right back. I love Trent, he might be my favourite player but there’s a sense here of shoehorning him in purely because of who he is. As well as he’s done in some games I'm unsure if this can be Kloppball going forward. Wouldn’t fixing the midfield (with or without Trent) and buying a capable right back be the smart thing to do?

Jurgen Klopp says he feels a burden for the crippling slump in form which has seen Liverpool all but kiss their league title hopes away. The Reds came into the clash with Everton knowing that they needed to build on the momentum of wins against Atalanta and Fulham if they wanted to keep go level on points with Arsenal who had demolished Chelsea the night before. Under the German, his team have by and large risen to the task and played their hearts out from the first minute to the last, earning the name ‘mentality monsters’ for their never say die spirit. So with everything on the line, Liverpool arguably produced the most soul destroyin…
