Pete Townshend book describes 'insane' attempt to expose internet child abuse | Music | guardian.co.uk

"I've had the misfortune to read online comments where I'm judged as a paedophile because I've got a big nose"

No, Pete, I think it's more to do with getting caught using your credit card to access images of child pornography. For research purposes.

Where does his big nose come into it?

I dunno. He doesn't expound on his "big-nose theory". Perhaps it's linked to some kind of anti-semitism, Fagin in Oliver Twist, or even the child-catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Again, though, I must repeat that the largest contributory factor to him being labelled a paedophile - large nose notwithstanding - is more to do with getting caught using his credit card to access images of child pornography.

Poor Pete. He's just been misunderstood. Turns out he was trying to prove the banks were profiting from kiddie porn.

Pete Townshend: I paid for child porn to prove British banks were channelling sex-ring cash - Telegraph

Oh well that's ok then, pity he didn't mention it at the time rather than leaving it 9 years to give this perfectly reasonable explanation.
