Yeah, but just think about all those tourists coming in on cruise liners on the royal blue Mersey and see the world's greatest stadium on its banks. The red shite heads will fall off.

I seen a lot of things discussed on social media, YouTube etc  in terms of point deductions for both Forest and Everton, general points being Forest should be deducted the same 10pts as Everton were.

Am I correct in that the rules, as agreed by all clubs was that a breach is a six point penalty and a further point for every £5m over the breach, Everton were £20m over therefore got the 10 points?

If so then Forest would get six plus however much over the breach they went, same for Everton, six point plus the amount over.

Have I made this up?

I've seen that too but I'm not 100% sure if that is actually correct or just a rumour that is being presented as fact now.

The fix is in.  The tory gimp who got caught wanking at work and our own Rick Parry talking about the weakness of retrospective punishment. Manchester City plan, hold out for as long as possible and change the rules.

They'd still be reporting the Johnson fee for the next three years, so why should they be able to backdate it. They should have held off on some of their expenditure.

Who knows why they took the risk . I’m damn sure the knew exactly what they were doing and gambled on the outcome. Be surprised if they don’t end up with 2 pt deducted which is deserved in my book

Both Everton and Forest have accepted being in breach of PSR. Everything else is performative.

So why are the bloos kicking up such a stink then. Oh wait. yeah never mind.

Some blue on the radio this morning from a fan group saying the rules exist to protect the top six. Wibble.

The clubs most getting stitched up by Everton's cheating are clubs like Brighton, West Ham, Wolves etc. Other teams trying to finish in the top half.

How are the likes of Arsenal and us being helped out by the rules? We're adhering to them while competing against a team who has broken them 115 times.

The absurd thing is, for all the protestations, the accounting rules have actually helped them avoid going bust. Can you imagine if they'd been allowed to spend whatever they liked?

The day after Uncle Uzzy got sanctioned they'd be left wondering how to pay wages that are double turnover, if they really need gold urinals, whether they can find a buyer for a half-finished 70ft bust of Andy Gray's head, and how to cancel Elton John's remix of Candle in the Wind to the tune of Z-cars.

None of which is as mad as their Covid write-offs, mind.

Indeed . It will be interesting to see what punishment,if any, Forest get . They bumped to Johnson transfer to get more money which is their defence.

On the face of it ,and it only just falling out of the accounting window , it would seem harsh to penalise them . However in the real world you can’t just bring in revenue from the next accounting period to balance the books. It’s nonsense and any auditor would have told them as much  They are bang to rights and should be done . You can’t be a little bit or only just guilty. Its dates and numbers not sob stories and appeals for clemency.

I appreciate Forests had a lot to do once they were promoted given about 5 of the first team who started the play off final

were on loan, they had other loans in the squad and it was a small squad…

…they signed 22 players the summer they came up and 7 in January.

It’s OTT, they only have themselves to blame.

Stop cheating then..it has to be a sporting punishment. What's a fine to the Saudis or Abu Dhabi.  Everton knowingly and willingly went over the limit because they thought fuck you, you won't touch us. Parry is a fucking bell end.

Man city should be stripped of everything they've "won" they cheated sides who played by the rules, it doesn't matter whether you like the rules or not if they exist you follow them and if you break them you pay the price.

Saracens kept theirs (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/article-7913645/Chief-Darren-Childs-admits-Premiership-Rugby-strip-Saracens-titles.html), not sure if the same limits would exist for the FA/PL/UEFA.

Still got relegated with a 35 point punishment, for £2m overspend. Puts things in a bit of perspective.

Don't get that there's a difference. Points deducted is still a deduction whenever it happens. I'm sure last seasons relegated clubs would have liked the shite dealt with earlier.
