Breaking Bad Thread

I hate watching them a week apart, I'm too used to watching box sets and watching about three episodes in a row. Anyone who even mentions Breaking Bad before I have watched them episodes will be threatened with serious violence.

Yeah, it's much better to watch them one after the other, isn't it. I'm just going to have to keep away from twitter for the last 8 days when the final two episodes air.

TV is meant to be watched on a weekly basis. Gives the storyline time to breathe and sink in. If you finish one and start the next one then you don't get a single second to consider the events of the previous. Ruins it, for me.

For example, I started The Wire back in February. I started season four this week. I've kept a roughly episode a week pace and I'd hate to change that.

And, if anyone saves up this season then they really can't blame anyone for any spoilers they hear, to be fair. I'm gonna be swerving social media from the moment it airs until I've seen it the following night.

25 days and counting till I've seen episode 9!

I think box sets are way better than waiting a week. They allow you to stay in the world they've created for longer. Doing it weekly breaks that link, IMO. Each to hid own, but one after the other is way better for me.

It is absolutely each to their own but I just don't get how anyone can truely immerse themselves in a series if they blitz it. There is no time taken to understand and think. It ain't a wrong approach, just one that I really don't get.

I'm fully up to date on them all now. Series 3, 4 & 5 (part 1) are brilliant - as somebody said earlier, each episode is like a mini Scarface or something.

I hate the episode where he's chasing the fly in the lab for the whole episode though.

This two minute forty-six second review of everything we've seen so far makes me slightly giddy at the prospect at what these eight episodes could be.

That was so irritating.

Just finishing Season 3 been on a week long Breaking Bad binge after being constantly bombarded in work with .."you haven't seen Breaking bad"...got to admit I'm hooked. Love the cast of characters particulary Saul Goodman (great comic character) and Gustavo Fring.

Really looking forward to the final 8 episodes now. Kind of wish I could have watched the whole show over a few weeks, not into the one episode a week thing now! I like to get engrossed in their world by constantly watching it! escapism at it's finest.
