Have to say Aqua did more in 5 mins than Lucas did in 53 mins. How Kuyt was able to play 82 mins is beyond me and what does Maxi do to justify being played ahead of Riera.

Gerrard was poor, but seriously some of the shit on here about him is a disgrace.

 

People want him to dive into 50/50 tackles - he does it once and gets booked. I like Lucas but there's no way you'd want him on the pitch when you're pressimng to win. Gerrard has had an awful season by his standards (and by any standards) but he's carried this club for years.

 

Lots of great players have a bad year -Giggs had one for the mancs in their - and his - prime springs to mind. Gerrard hasn't had a long lay-off for years and hasn't been fully fit for about 18 months.

 

I've never been the lad's biggest fan, but for fuck's sake, lay off.

Kind of true I guess, even though Lucas was poor also. Main thing for me though is that Lucas kept some sort of dignity and at least kept trying. Gerrard and Torres on the other hand acted like a right couple of cunts. Understandable maybe, I think I would have done the same if I was a gifted footballer and played in this team. Still I think we are sinking to Bolton and Blackburn standards now in the way we behave on the field. Not to mention the way we play.
