He could have awarded a penalty for the push had he been given the chance to see it by Hooper. Incredibly soft, but if they insist on hiding behind the letter of the law to disallow for offside, then they should also apply the law for this.

This is why I didn't blame Tierney for that goal. He wasn't even shown the push.

The correct outcome would have been to say there's a foul on Salah which put him in an offside position, but an advantage was played and a goal was scored.

Yep. A bit like the grappling that goes on at corners, just because 'it happens all the time' doesn't make it less of a foul. But as we saw with the penalty Rodri 'won' against Man Utd, these cunts can choose to apply the laws to suit themselves.

The grappling at corners is the biggest shithouse get out trick by pro refs of the lot. If there is grappling you dont warn them, you either give the free kick to the defending team or a penalty. But lets be honest here, the pro game is played for headlines and advertising clicks, not any 'spirit of the game' bollocks. The real football nowadays goes on nowhere near those hollywood sets they call football stadiums.

Or you can consider them as a team. Tierney ruled out the 1st goal ridiculously, but yet VAR can't over rule because it's not clear and obvious. The 2nd goal his VAR helps him out by not showing him the answer. I said it a few pages back, Webb will see it as perfect team work.

Of course Tierney is to blame, unless you believe he is fair and honest.

If I were the on field ref and the VAR lot told me I needed to disallow a goal my first question would always be 'why' This would be accompanied by me watching it on a screen as they do. The problem with this is that it would add loads of time onto the game but so what? It seems they are picking and choosing these incidents to save time and this then makes us,the fans, highly suspicious.
