Don't think Origi will want to leave in January, he's happy to play the back up role and chips in with important goals every so often. If we get past Leicester we'll have a 2 legged semi final in January with a couple of FA Cup games.

He'll play in the games Salah and Mane will miss and will probably play when others are injured.

He'll probably play more minutes in January than he did in the entirety of last season.

apparently we have offered rudiger more money than he earns at chelsea and he will be the undisputed partner to VVD. But he has given his word to florentino and that is it.

I'd like to see us sign Vlahovic if Origi leaves, personally. He's big and strong but he's not one of those 'hold the ball up' type target men. He's got good technique and excellent finishing ability. I'm getting strong Batistuta vibes from him.

Let’s see him tested at the likes of Southampton first, we’ve seen how big the gap is between PL and other leagues at the moment. I also want to get a proper no 9 in, but my preference would be Calvert-Lewin or Bamford.

Vlahovic is better than both of them. I rate Calvert-Lewin as an old fashioned number 9 but he is nowhere near as good on the ball. Great at getting on the end of a cross.

You've never seen Vlahovic play, have you?

If we sign a striker, he'll be 23-24, would have played regularly over the past 4-5 years, would have improved numbers year on year, and can play in any of the 3 forward positions. Players like that are more likely to more more involved in the play, and have time to reach and play at their peak while at the club. Our patterns of play dictate that our forwards carry (at least most of) these attributes, because our midfield is generally more functional than creative.

The only player in the world that I can think of that fits all of your criteria is Christopher Nkunku.

Do you think? I expect us to renew one (probably mane) and let firmino go till the end of his contract. And maybe extend him if he hasn't got himself set elsewhere and we feel he can still do a job.

There is no way Klopp leaves us with the same front 3.

He practically said his mandate upon signing the extension was to build the next side.
