Generally happy enough with the list as there’s a decent representation of metal bands.
 

Agree with Paddy Berger that The Flaming Lips deserved to be in there, and really surprised to see no Weezer either.

The first Interpol album is really excellent, the second one was good, I didn't think much of the third one and then I never listened to the others (I think there are more anyway). I don't think they should be in it really but that first album is great.

I've only ever heard one Flaming Lips song. I don't think they are well known enough in my opinion.

Not shitting on the picks so far but how is Bob Seger and the silver bullet band not in there. 

And unless ive missed them the Temptation seem a obvious choice,especially with the lack of being able to put much in from Motown and Stax

Spot on. The only reason I didn't put them in because I was worried people would see Bob as a solo artist. Their back catalogue is absolutely superb. I think I'd have these above almost all the bands I identified before but I don;t wanna cause Stig a headache.

Half the fun of these is bitching that Stig has left out good bands instead of a few absolute no marks that he's included.  Jimmy Eat World, Linkin Park and Korn for example.

Pixies are my favourites to get the Smiths draw and sneak through to the latter stages.
