Of course Utd have some really good attacking options who any decent coach will get a tune out off , Klopp would have them purring like a well oiled machine within months no doubt .

But looking at the state of the back four and that's a major challenge for any  coach Maguire , Wan Bissaka , Fatty boy Shaw,  Llindelof even Varane are absolutely bang average IMO

Wan Bissaka is a decent talent I think. He puts in a good tackle.

There's loads of talent in that United squad. Loads. That's why this is a sad day. Sad sad day.

Look Eddie stobbart won’t appreciate me saying this,  take the contract, put it on the table, let him write whatever numbers he wants on there given what he’s done since he’s come in. Oles at the wheel man, he’s doing his thing, he’s doing his thing.

Anyone on basic nodding terms with football knew he was ridiculously out of his depth, yet you had all these 'experts 'saying for the last 3 years ,he will get it right.

This myth also grew that they were in some Hodgson type freefall under Mourinho and the goblin turned it round.

Things were bad under mourhino but they finished 2and and won a cup ,yet this stat started coming out he was the most successful manager since Ferguson'.

Saying that, the last 3 years have been glorious, they would have a big win and he would get a new contract, and then they would go on some abysmal run

Its refreshing to see they have still got that knack of hyping themselves up,only for it to spectually explode in their faces. The Ronaldo signing was the perfect example of this.

Only soljaskaar could big up one of his players as one of the most important at the club,on the same day he had a nightmare and got sent off.

Over the next few days, the papers will be fill of what a nice guy he is.

No he isnt.He is a snidey snivelling little rat who throws in sly digs and never gives the opposition any credit.

No wonder the mancs love him

Real end of an era feel to it, this.

Woodward off at the end of the season after 8 years may be more significant. Had them in an absolute death grip has that lad. Remarkable he’s been allowed to preside over disaster after disaster of his own making and still be trusted to oversee the latest solution to all of them. Just hope he leaves one last turd down the back of the sofa with Ole’s replacement and a big splurge on unflushable shite in January.

We’ve had it good, there’s no denying it.

The defence a probably their weakest part, but there and in other areas the players are more than good enough to make a far better team than Ole has managed. If they get in a decent manager we’ll see significant improvements short term. And if they get in a good one, that makes a few changes to the balance of the team over the next couple of windows they could be right up there in a year or two. They have a lot of very good players, made look average to poor by an incompetent manager and coaching team.

Absolutely gutting. On Sky Sports News at the moment is Vicky’s programme that sort of replaced the talking about the papers programme. They were going to talk about our game next - and then the news came about Ole! So now it looks like they’re going to spend the whole two hours talking about it. As I was out last night I was looking forward to seeing this.
oh well - bastards!

What will they do if Fletcher or Carrick (or whoever the interim appointment is) comes in and wins a few games and starts getting decent performances out of the players.

It would be quite funny if they went down the same road as Solskjaer, giving the interim a permanent position, only to be up shit creek again in another season or two when it all turned to shit again.

Fingers crossed.
