That's a fair point. But, while two of them are still playing? Just seems a bit weird, to me.

I get it. But they play in a soulless former athletics stadium and trying to make their set up into the English Camp Nou tourist attraction. They've not got a great deal more history, what 2 titles and 1 European trophy pre the oil money? There's only so many Bell Ends you can have.

A little bit weird yeah. I understand them wanting to commemorate some club legends but it seems like a strange place to set the bar. Is every great player going to get a statue now? In 20 years time they'll have more statues than fans. Or are those three just special and any future legends can get fucked?

To be fair if they stopped at 3 they'd have more statues than fans.

So are Niall Quinn, Georgi Kinkladze, Rosler and Micah Richards..

as for Dickov

To be fair, there are a number of pretty impressive Manchester City legends - Frank Swift, Bert Trautman, Colin Bell, Mike Summberbee, Francis Lee, Asa Hartford, Dave Watson, Joe Mercer, etc. Most Johnny-come-lately City fans will barely have heard of them, though.

You're all forgetting the incredible Alex Robinson & Nigel Edwards. Truly magnificent players. The like's we'll never see again. If anyone deserves a statue it's these two...

Perhaps it's another aspect to their 'feeder' clubs around the world. Not only does it allow them to hoover up young talent all over the place, but the next generation of fans who follow these teams locally will more likely take up Manchester City as the 'big' club they follow.

It's playing the long game, to an extent, but it sort of makes sense.

And the statues are a great idea. They add mystique to the players they honour. Surely kids today still love that stuff?

Who will take over?

Klopp wouldn't go there.
Tuchel - I can't imagine he'd go there after PSG and direct from Chelsea.

Solksjaer- haha

Arteta - has failed his apprenticeship

Bielsa - too mad.

Brendan - probably the only English based coach that could have a chance.

Conte - Too defensive

Allegri - maybe

Nagelsmann - probably the favourite. Another shit clothes wearing, self absorbed prick.

Can’t believe you’re leaving Allardyce out of this conversation.

Interesting that he’s making these comments on the same day that the Kane deal fell through. He’s sulking and basically giving a ‘fuck you’ to the wonderful, honest owners he usually defends so passionately.

Did they promise poor little Pep that he would get a new £100m toy?

Boo hoo, poor peppy, pulling a sulk cos his daddy can only give him a daft brummie and (at best) a preening Ronaldo.

He probably taunted them with 'Who do you think you are with not buying me the toys you promised, FSG?
