Very slender margin, that. We should have done better, with Sturridge and Henderson both missing chances you'd expect them to tuck away, especially Hendo. We are sitting too deep and letting Arsenal in our half too easy. They are a dangerous side but we have looked okay and created a few chances. Suarez putting in a shift on the left, the type of player who gives his all no matter where he plays.

Henderson has blown to many good opportunities in all honesty, got himself in some great positions but that final ball/shot has been shite.

Downing and Henderson are being afforded a lot of space, I'd like to see both of them switched with players who will take advantage of it. We're also going to have start putting players inside the D when Arsenal have corners as the ball keeps dropping there and we're just inviting them straight back in. We made the same error against Everton.

 

Torn between thinking we should be passing it about safely to take the sting out of the game, as we still get caught when we do that, and knowing we need to get another to make this game safe.

Henderson's final ball has been poor, and we are sitting too deep at times - we'll get punished if we carry on like that. But we are working a lot harder than Sunday (not hard admitedly).

 

We need to exploit their weaknesses and keep it tight at the back.

We're playing deep because the first 25mins they were constantly getting in behind us, they haven't created as much since and there's a big chance if a breakaway with the pace we have up front (never thought I'd ever say that)
