Conor Bradley - Welcome to the Party

Recommended Posts

Poor lad. It's typical of life that just when you're feeling on top of the world it throws up something awful like this.

I'm glad his dad got to see his his son's breakthrough as some have already said and Conor's obvious joy in doing so.

RIP.

Noticed that he wasn't in the squad so checked here to see what was going on, shocked to see the reason and hope that he's ok along with the rest of his family. Agreed with what's already been said about him playing so well, getting that goal and then this happening shortly after too. Really messed up the way the two are so close together.

Look so much better with him in the side.

Trent inverted has worked as well, but then we need Szobo to play on the right to get the necessary width. Salah has been good with that too but he will always be more effective playing more inside.

With Bradley and especially with the level he has shown, it's just simpler for the team. We can play a compact midfield, which suits the majority of our midfielders and the forwards, who are pretty much all better the more central they get (except Diaz but he plays opposite side to Bradley) can all do more of that because he's shown such an ability to boss the wing on his own. And then he can even come inside as well.

Bradley inverted worked well also today. He probably didnt do it to the same degree as Trent has in some games, but he definately moved into the central position from time to time.

He did and Gomez has done every time as well.

That tweak may have originally been to try to get Trent more involved - seems it will be used regardless.

Yep. Like Gomez did from LB this season, he's drifting inside but working the role differently. They don't have TAA's vision and passing range, so they become a more traditional extra body in there. I think they carry the ball more though, albeit laterally.

He did but he isn't doing the thing where he's picking the ball up from the centre backs like Trent. He's mostly wide but then he's also coming inside in the middle and final third. I think he is in a period where opposing teams don't know what he's going to do and he can go both ways.

The 50 million it took to upgrade Kirby into an all singing all dancing production line of outstanding talent that Klopp oversaw years ago is starting to reap serious rewards .

The Legacy he leaves is just frightening if the likes of Bradley and McConnell are anything to go by,  whoever comes in to replace him needs to keep his foot on this(  for want of a better word ) supply chain
