There's a lot of continuity and they often mention or show people who were in previous series' so it's possible. The guy who took over from Roz appeared in the first year I think (I can't remember him though).

I would not be suprised to see the odd cameo from Roz as well.

Definitely a bit of scope for Jamie to be developed further, good or bad.

Can I watch this without seeing the first two series? I've managed to avoid spoilers so please noone be a cunt

I would suggest watching it from the beginning because although each season has a different case they are linked.

I've just watched the first series of this but thought it was fucking terrible.

With the sole exception of the lass from This Is England, the acting was fucking awful. Neil Morrissey, fucking hell lad, just give it up.

The two male leads were dire, and although it was obviously a drama, the outrageous and unchecked insubordination and the shoddiness of the Police work was just so incredible to render this whole thing completely unbelievable.

Just dreadful and I won't be going back for more.

I've enjoyed it but it is extremely far fetched.

I just watched all four series on iPlayer over the past week or so before it got taken down. Fucking boss. Top notch telly. I’m always the last one to the party but can’t wait for the next series now. I thought the actress who played Lindsay Denton was amazing. I love the way all the characters are morally ambiguous. Just when you think someone is an out and out cunt they’ll do something that makes you sympathetic towards them. Outstanding.
