The unpopular opinion thread 2014 - amnesty applies.

Agree with all of that Paul, except for the Murphy bit. Wasn't a bad player but I wouldn't call him cracking.

Especially agree over Gerrard though, which seems to make us a minority. With Henderson and Allen alongside him I think Gerrard will be ace playing there.

I agree as well.

I don't know the stats either but they played together under Dalglish in his first six months back as manager. Those two behind the fluid front four was excellent to watch. Maxi/Meireles/Kuyt/Suarez wasn't it? Ace.

That was it. They worked for each other which meant that Maxi and Meireles never had to.

Loved our counter attacks.

Lucas to Spearing. Spearing to Lucas. Lucas to Meireles. Meireles to Suarez. Suarez to Kuyt. To Meireles. To Suarez. Maxi watches on, Davidoff in hand. Suarez. Kuyt. Meireles. Ball across the box. Where's Maxi?

Oh there he is.

I was at that match and it was as if the Maxi song went on forever that night. It was glorious.

Here's an unpopular opinion: That cottage at Fulham might be quaint, but it gives me the creeps and I don't see the point of it anymore. We could have that whole end as away fans if the cottage wasn't there.

I don't think we're good enough to finish in the top 4. Our performances have been very erratic, from shockingly poor to top class and we don't have the quality or the consistency to remain in the top 4 until the end of the season. Unless we add a couple of genuinely class players in the transfer window, I fear we'll slip out of the top 4 and will end up some way off the Champions League places.

I'm not so pessimistic.

I do think we may need to overhaul Arse to get there but I still believe they will fade, Not being involved in Europe is a major factor . So much revolves around keeping our strikers fit

Except at home. Where we have the best defence in the league.

I thought this was the amnesty thread? As in, people can post stuff without some little snark having a pop. Well there we are. You are definitely right, Rodgers is a master at organising a defence.
